The most common retort you will encounter from skeptics and dishonest people when it comes to discussing the issue of economic decline, social breakdown and the PROVEN conspiracy of globalist institutions to centralize power under the formation of a worldwide financial system and a world government, is that “It’s all well and good to talk about the problems, but unless you can come up with solutions your analysis is irrelevant.”
This is a classic disinformation tactic: Suggesting that the person who identified the problem must also solve the problem, otherwise they should not be taken seriously. This is called “deflection.” Often solutions to economic and social decline require that masses of people become educated on the threats so that they can organize to make changes, and that requires talking about the problems. Talking about the danger IS the solution (to a point).
In terms of direct conspiracy and tyranny, the solution is usually war and the elimination of the cabal behind the agenda. That requires talking about the problem and inspiring people to organize for the fight.
But what happens when you finally have the numbers to do something? I would partially agree that the conservatives, libertarians, independents and moderates that make up what I call the “Liberty Movement” tend to talk a lot more about the problems, to the point that solutions become lost in the fervor of discussion.
After nearly 20 years writing for the movement I have noticed a consistent pattern – When I publish an article identifying a concerted attack on the US economy, for example, the audience numbers run high. When I write an article about methods for preventing collapse, such as independent barter markets and localized production, the traffic is cut in half. The truth is, real solutions are not sexy, they are scary.
People can become addicted to watching the system break down and I realize it’s hard to look away from a train wreck. But when it comes time to doing something about the mess and make some hard decisions a lot of people run away. This has to change.
It is with this issue in mind that I am launching a series of articles focusing ONLY on solutions. These are not silver bullet solutions; they will not save people from struggle or hardship. They will not end the globalist empire with a single calculated social shift or technological innovation. Such solutions do not exist and anyone who claims otherwise is either ignorant or a fraud trying to lure you into complacency. The real solutions require hard work, sacrifice, courage, tenacity and above all, risk.
If a solution to tyranny and collapse doesn’t scare you at least a little, then it’s probably not a legitimate solution.
And, if there is one solution that has been demonized more than any other in our modern era, it’s the citizen militia. It’s hard to think of a greater taboo, a more sneered at and disdained concept than the militia, and that’s on both sides of the political aisle. Many leftists hate the militia because they fear it; many Republicans hate the militia because they think it makes them look “extreme.” Sorry sunshine patriots, but if there was ever a time for extreme measures, it is now.
Maybe it’s a matter of public conditioning? Militias are the villains in every movie, every TV show, every book and comic book. Articles in every major publication warn year after year of militias as the dark underbelly of American culture; a mode of organization for “racists” and “fascists” and most of all “terrorists.” They are the bad guys, right? Who wants to be seen as a bad guy?
So, conservatives and libertarians stumble around trying to come up with ways to organize a physical defense against the encroachment of authoritarianism without actually calling these efforts a militia. It’s understandable; the M-word has a stigma that was carefully crafted by the media over the course of decades.
Say you are starting a “neighborhood watch” and people listen with an open mind. Say you are starting a militia, and people see images of fat rednecks playing Batman in the woods with their buttcracks hanging out (rednecks are some of my favorite people, by the way). They shut down immediately, and they might not even know why. It’s because they have been trained to react this way.
There’s a reason why civilian militias were one of the first constitutional protections dismantled and rearranged by our government. Sadly, starting with giving the president the ability to call on state militias as a means of suppressing domestic rebellion through the 1800s, then slowly erasing militias altogether and replacing them with the modern National Guard though the Dick Act of 1903 (The NG is now nothing more than another branch of standing military and not a true militia).
An armed and most importantly TRAINED civilian population operating outside of federal oversight is a threat that no oligarchy would ever voluntarily allow. It is the ultimate wrecking ball against government corruption. This is why the 2nd Amendment has already, to some extent, been neutered. It has lost one of two vital parts: Gun rights are still present, but citizen organization is gone. Without both elements the country will never be truly secure and free.
The reason the modern establishment media has been so hostile to the militia concept is because they fear patriot organization more than anything else. They want people isolated from each other, focused only on their own preparedness efforts but constantly vulnerable due to their limited ability to project defense or offense. If you are alone, your circle of security is your house and your front door – you are doomed. If you are part of a militia, your circle of security is your town, or your county, or perhaps even your entire state. You now have a chance to survive and stay free.
There will be people who argue that a militia solution is impossible because in order for such groups to be constitutionally legal they must be approved by the state government they reside in and operate at the whim of the White House. This is only if we were pursuing a “constitutional” militia; I think that ship sailed a long time ago. If the establishment has no respect for the original intent of the constitution, then we can no longer play by the same rules as our forebears. We have to organize outside of the lines.
Militias need to exist whether they are approved or not. Cooperation at the state or county level should be pursued, but this is dependent on the honor of that particular local government. If they are not cooperative and are not honorable then citizens will have to organize anyway.
I do foresee some red state governors taking action to form militias. I’m not the type of person that thinks every single political leader is “controlled.” If that were true then all the red states would have continued the covid lockdowns and tried to enforced vaccine passports as the blue states did. Instead, they fought back. I’ll give credit where credit is due.
If any liberty minded governors are reading this now, I would suggest that they seriously consider stepping up efforts to bring back the militia system in their state. These groups are going to form eventually anyway, adding some legitimacy through the state would defuse a lot of conflicts in the future. And I’ll tell you this, if you truly believe in freedom and the American ideal, there WILL come a time when you will have to lean on the common citizenry to maintain the security of your state. Not just from corrupt adversaries at the federal level, but from foreign invasion (or illegal immigration) as well as rioting and looting by leftist groups within your own cities. Don’t wait until it’s too late.
If a state government is not willing to back legally recognized militias, then it may be possible to organize at the county level. I would even say that the first county government to do this will start a firestorm and hundred of other counties will follow their example. All it takes is one to step forward. The same goes for state militias.
What would be the purpose of these militias? To act as a deterrent to forces with ill intent, first and foremost. We cannot allow the federal government and establishment elites to hold a monopoly on the ability to project power. If we do, then the country will be enslaved. And though I have faith in the power of asymmetric tactics, the 50 million+ gun owners now active in the US could be far more effective if they were working together to utilize those tactics. They would certainly offer a much more imposing obstacle to the elites.
Deterrence is the best possible defense. When that fails, better to have friends than to be alone.
Secondly, there is ample defense training going on all over America and there are millions of serious shooters here. Dare I say, there are more serious shooters here than in all other countries combined. And by “serious shooters” I mean skilled and dangerous shooters that can do extensive damage to an enemy. However, there is virtually no large unit training going on right now; everything is aimed at personal defense and sometimes small unit tactics. Militias would be useful in teaching Americans how to fight as a larger force if necessary.
Of course, that would be “paramilitary training” and that would be “bad,” but who cares? The optics are becoming less and less important as the system degrades and crisis rises. Finally, I think it’s time to draw the line in terms of the course our country is going, and establishing militias is a solid way to send a message.
For those waiting on civic solutions, I’ll just say that political efforts rarely bear fruit. One surprising exception was the resistance to covid mandates – It’s a good thing we had so many conservative governors willing to end the mandates and stop the madness at the state level. So yes, voting can do some good, but it should not be relied upon to save us. There needs to be organization beyond political parties into the realm of active problem solving and security. Millions of citizens sitting around doing nothing while waiting 2-4 years to drop a ballot in a box is NOT a solution to our current predicament.
The old disinformation arguments will surely surface in response to the militia idea – They will say that a militia wouldn’t stand a chance against a tyrannical government backed by a modern military and that your “AR-15 is useless against an F-16.” The Taliban in Afghanistan has something to say about that delusion, just as guerrilla groups have had something to say about it for generations. There’s not a military on the planet that can take on 50 million+ gun owners, they would run out of ordnance long before patriots ran out of people.
But beyond that, we have to ask the question yet again: Why are they so intent on removing 2nd Amendment rights and stopping the return of militias if these things are not a threat to their power? If gun owners could be wiped out by a handful of drones and tanks, then why haven’t they done this already and rounded us all up? The reason is clear – Because if the establishment starts that fight, they know there’s a chance they could lose. If they are afraid of unorganized and isolated patriots now, imagine how afraid the technocrats would be if we reestablished militias.

I do differ from TC as the militia needs to be formed ASAP.
Historically, militias have been associated with Committees of Safety… research it. Then start with organizing members in your house… your block and several blocks around you. Security, trading among yourselves (gardens, other goods / services)… and then compliment with committee of safety (pseudo board) that can be elected members that act as liaisons among interactions with other militias and government entities/ reps…. just try an organize yourselves to help each other as local community.
Living in So Cal…suburban area…SHTF week be chaotic… so have a neighbor to help lean on… garden, water collection…and security/medical too.

If not now, when? At the rapid pace they are bull-dozing over our constitutional rights, it may not be “legal” to form a militia in the near future.
I have heard that there are some constitutionally minded sheriffs that will support and even encourage militias. It gives them an experienced pool of citizens to deputize in case of emergency.
First of all there is no such thing as “constitutional rights.”

INDEED. A large proportion of citizens (or “citizen-consumers”…) – and not only in the United States! – are afraid to assume their responsibilities. They leave it to other people to find solutions and make decisions that they ALSO can benefit from without making any effort.

Of course they won’t allow it, and that is the very reason that trained militias must be formed. When our Government uses Law Enforcement, those first responders will become no more than Cannon Fodder, which proves the DemonRats only want power and will do anything to maintain what they have already stolen, and that is exactly why we had a Revolutionary War.

If you are retired military or have served your time, then think seriously about joining a militia. When Obama said we need to put together a civilian force that would be as strong and well equipped as is our Army, this is how we now interpret that statement.
And look how well equipped and trained Antifa has become.
Local police departments were (and are not) equipped and manned to handle such overwhelming numbers. More recently in France, the government not only brought in military assistance but hired mercenaries to quell the riots.

Watch any old Western on TV. Some gnarly guy has somebody else – or a group of somebodies – under his full control because he’s holding a gun on them. .CORRECTION: Authority for the President to call out the militia was considered at the writing of the Constitution and was rejected as too much power to one person. Authority to call out the militia to “suppress Insurrections and repel Invasions” was given to Congress —which also has the authority and duty to appoint the officers [of the called out army ?] and to train the militia. How this is not considered military training escapes this reader.
That was true until the 1800s and most specifically the Civil War. They introduced laws which circumvented militia autonomy and gave the President the ability to call them up to repel foreign invasion and also suppress rebellions. By 1903 the militia was gone, replaced with the modern National Guard, which the President ultimately controls.

You are misinterpreting Sun Tzu – He meant that great strength would be required to DETER the enemy from ever attacking in the first place. Strength is not shown through public engagement; public engagement is how you eventually build strength. The Covid mandates were defeated for one reason and one reason only – Millions of Americans with arms refused to comply, and the elites realized to continue would mean war. But, they never should have felt safe enough to try. With organized militias, there would have been NO covid mandates to defeat. This is what Sun Tzu meant. There is no digital silver bullet solution; this conflict will require rebellion and great sacrifice. There is no other way.

The main question I believe is what is the tipping point? What percentage of the populace is sufficient to successfully resist the tyrany?
My estimate is 3-5% may be enough.

There has to be an event. Something so awful and public that it can’t be denied by the media whores. Boston Massacre, Lexington and Concord type of events. We have to be prepared to get the word out.
COVID was close. Mandates were clearly splitting the population. A line in the sand was established, and the globalists decided to back down. Brandon likes to think it was patriotic Conservative leadership in the states, but I believe they were instructed to back down.
We’re being used and fed, like rats in experiments.
Yeah can you imagine if they tried to force everyone unvaccinated to get a covid test EVERY WEEK??? Even if we were willing, they would have run out of covid tests mere weeks in. You would have to wait at the doctor’s hours and hours every single week. They realized the OSHA mandate was absolutely unenforceable. They were hoping the vast majority would vaccinate to comply.

Besides the determent factor of the militia, 5th generation or unrestricted warfare is a way to “subdue the enemy without fighting”.

Gaining organization will be the hardest. But there are already some organizations that would be a great place to start.
*Volunteer fire departments have organized in a civic manner and can provide a framework for organizing.
* churches, locally owned business even rural post offices.
* think locally elect county officials who are like minded and can provide leadership (point person) justice of the peace. Constables etc.
* having a underlying purpose with a overt purpose of civic organization. Think Cajun navy. With the floods, wild fires and train derailments, covid lockdown etc. These natural and man made disasters can provide the ability to organize.
While engaging with the community in a positive way is always a good thing, Oath Keepers already tried the “civic” route and it really went nowhere, mainly because it didn’t go far enough. It was a half measure; a safe way to pretend like we’re organizing when we’re really not. Again, if there’s no risk involved, it’s not a solution. If it doesn’t bother the establishment in the slightest, then it’s not a solution. The days of half measures are over.

Government is a potential enemy and you need to be very careful of the relationship between the militia and the state.
The people you refer to are the people that told the militia to disband after the “Lincoln’s war of enslaving the states.” They are the very reason that we don’t have a militia!!

Agree with both your analysis, and your solution on this issue. The history of successful civic uprisings has been white-washed for many. Very few know, or are even aware, of how personally devastating the fight to gain our independence was to those Founders who stood up and declared their intentions. Many died, almost all lost EVERYTHING before the English were driven out of our newly founded country. There was no shortage of personal bravery on the part of these men.
The average American is now soft, compliant, intellectually lazy, ignorant and dare I say it… cowardly. We have many who will stand up to tyrants (those rednecks, who have ALWAYS answered the call to fight), but most of these brave men and women will only do so to defend their immediate family and/or home. To your point; tyrants fear militias for the very reason that it organizes those relatively few willing to use violent resistance against authoritarian oppression.
To this end, those wanting to enslave a population must first gain control of the education system in order to program the population to their ideology (check). Next, they must gain control of the media, to propagate and saturate the message of compliance to the masses (check). Finally, they must disarm the population to avoid the very thing you are pointing out; large scale; armed resistance, to their power and control, by the population.
Once they have all three (they now have two and are well on their way to the third, as you pointed out) the population will quickly realize they are no longer citizens, they are subjects and what follows will be the painful lesson on how these differ. But it will be too late and any effort to regain their freedoms will very likely require the ultimate sacrifice.
It’s our Second Amendment.

According to the federal Militia Act, all males of fighting age are members of the militia by default. The number of known US gun owners total 80 million, many times more than the five largest armies combined. The US military is about 1.5 million and most of them are serving overseas. To that you can add perhaps another half million state and federal law enforcement. And of that 80 million many have military training. As for Biden’s foolish boast about needing F-15s and nukes, the VC or Taliban would scoff. If any president ordered the bombing of US cities the Generals themselves would take him out.

The Oathkeepers were destroyed by the bad judgement of their Lider Maximo (which is another story: a national organization MUST have a collective leadership, not be a one-man band). There is lots of evidence that 6 January was a set up, a trap. But it was a trap our people voluntarily stumbled into.
We need to follow the French example and have a ‘service d’ordre’, made up of fit men with training in how to be stewards at demonstrations, how to marshal them, both to defend them (with sub-lethal means), and how to deal with provocateurs and hotheads.
Another point: whatever happens in America, we are NOT going back to some state-less anarchy, a rural pastoral fantasy. There WILL be a government. We have to try to make sure that it’s one we want.
Although unimaginable now, this might involve the splitting of the current United States into more than one country. No one knows the future. All we can do is to prepare to defend ourselves and our communities should the worst happen.

I absolutely love this, it’s what I’ve said for years – “Voting can do some good, but it should not be relied upon to save us. There needs to be organization beyond political parties into the realm of active problem solving and security. Millions of citizens sitting around doing nothing while waiting 2-4 years to drop a ballot in a box is NOT a solution to our current predicament.” Voting only helps so much, that’s absolutely true, and there needs to be more organization against the globalist fascist agenda of pseudo-science, depopulation, and enslavement.
One of our problems is that we have been ‘educated’ by Hollywood. Forget highschool civics classes … most people’s concept of how the world works is a template consisting of a Very Bad Man (or group of Bad Men), eventually brought down by a Hero: Rambo, James Bond, Batman.
The reality is very different, and boring. But the lessons we must learn from it are: organization is everything. Avoid like the plague people who talk about ‘exterminating’ anyone. At best, they’re hot air merchants, who won’t do any exterminating themselves, or anything else. At worst, they’re agents of the enemy.
So what do we have to do? First of all, try to form a Community Defense Group. Whether or not that is possible at the moment, we must be actively engaged in politics: starting at the local level: the school board, in particular.
Eventually, we need a national organization. And there’s the rub. At the moment, ‘national’ figures tend to be ego-maniacs, who want to be the Supreme Leader. We’ll have to start from the bottom, with local groups … eventually coalescing into state groups, with leaders who have been tested in practice. Once we have enough of those, we can consider a national group.
I have watched while at least three national groups self-destructed: the Oathkeepers, the Three Percenters, and the (much smaller) Civilian Defense Force. The Modern Militia Movement website folded after 6 January. The other national website, MyMilitia, was taken over by someone whose aim was to make money from it by selling advertising.
And yet … there are thousands of determined, sensible, serious people out there … we see some of them here. How can we get together to discuss what needs to be done?

Brandon has touched the third rail, broaching the subject no one dare consider: the use of non-governmental armed force in collective – not individual, but collective – self-defense. This implies the willingness to defend oneself from the party that has the ultimate power to threaten us – the government itself.
At that point, you are in “seditious conspiracy” waters, and as I have said multiple times, the ultimate solution will have to be secession. Brandon’s part 1 provides us with the means to that end.

Both Edwin Vierra and David Zuniza have inverted this myth called the “constitutional militia” — when there is no such thing! The militia has existed for 1,000 years and article 1 section 8 paragraph 15 does nothing about establishing a militia! All it does is allow the Federal government to call out the state militias.
The word militia according to the founders is synonymous with the people.
The people need no approval from the state to either arm themselves to to train in group defense. So if militia membership is limited by the government there is nothing to keep you from forming your own groups for self defense.
You are a militia member at this very moment whether you know it or not. But you are a very poorly trained member and we need to change that ASAP.

As a foreign observer from Switzerland I believe that the creation of armed militias is an excellent solution. As you certainly know, the Swiss are an armed people by constitution and no government would dare to disarm them because they are a citizen militia.
Having a peaceful armed militia and I mean “peaceful armed” is the greatest danger for the globalist government, the government will try with all legal or illegal means to destroy it in the bud but if you officially declare that this militia is only self-defence against a situation outside control due to the government no longer being able to lead a country, this will not lead to an armed confrontation between its citizens and the government will not be able to instigate a civil war, certainly the mass media will immediately create fear at the appearance of these patriotic militias, mercenaries will be used to highlight the danger of these armed militias but a limited armed self-defence response backed by well-organised independent information will be necessary.
Demonstrate that they have a peaceful counterforce to the corrupt power, the government will not dare to attack this peaceful but armed militia force, this militia will be an example of a force that no government can repress effectively, even with small starting numbers they will give the way to a greater mobilization and a good part of the population will support them even if only morally because after these dictatorial period demonstrated with the Covid of the various governments, the population is now ready to regain control of its government.
Then the government and those who control it will be naked, I agree that the militia is its only strength.
My family here in SoCal is armed, but not organized and also not trained in arms, but hope to figure it out when the time comes.

Fortunately, there are others in SoCal who are organized as another posted I met online said they established a “neighborhood watch” to deal with any problems.
A group of friends get together. They talk about what the future may hold, and plan to protect themselves and their community should disaster — which can take many forms — strike.
This means making sure that they know the basics of first aid; that they have enough food and water stored away to sit out a prolonged ‘interruption of service’; that they can communicate with each other should the telephone/internet system go down; that they can defend their community should a violent mob of looters appear (which also means knowing firearms law, and laws governing ‘private armies’ and ‘seditious conspiracy’); that they can deal with a collapsed building (perhaps with living people inside), a downed power line, a blocked road that needs to be unblocked (or vice versa); that they can transport themselves, or others (injured people) a reasonable distance even if gas stations are not functioning; that they have alternate means of getting at least enough electrical energy to power Baofengs and flashlights. They organize public classes for all these things: every subject here has a dozen YouTube videos that can do most of the talking. They do their best to liaise with local first responders.
Are they a ‘militia’? The men who assembled at Concord Bridge on 19 April 1775 would have recognized them as fellow patriots, organized to defend their community. Who cares about a word?
Or, they can just call themselves what they are – a militia. Like you say, who cares about a word?

Great points man all the way through this article. Brandon sadly I am not of the mindset that we have any “Liberty minded governors.” I love the concept you have laid out. Not sure we’ll get the blessing from anyone in a state capital though. At least not on the record.
We really have to do this though. It’s the best way. I understand the importance of getting to that state level tho. Governors have a lot of power. We need a sanctuary for lack of a better term. Thought the best thing to do was pick a state(s) and call it home. Then turn it as Liberty movement minded as we can. This may be the best method. They would no doubt work together I assume.
It might be best accomplished at the county level or city. And if the governor is a so called conservative might be be a bit nervous to harass the M word. It’s why it’s extremely important to support Republicans and Libertarian types. You can at least pressure them. Try that with a Dem Gov and see how it works. People at least need to go out and vote even if it’s only local.
When conservative voters bitch about voting and both parties suck remember you better do all that you can to affect change at a local/state level. You can have all the firearms you want but God forbid you ever have to use one in a location run by a Soros lackey.

I suggest that existing political or educational resistance organizations, of which there are many, form militia wings. This must be done simultaneously.
Great discussion. Well hell, the first course of action is to take your kids out of their institutions. That is where the real battle should begin. Yes it will disrupt your schedule. Yes you may have to downsize. But hell if you are not willin to do that then screw all this militia talk. Our men need to get their women out of the work force. The women need to break free of the double talk of feminism. See their place in the home as an honor and privilege and build a family. If folks are willin to do this then I’d say you are sacrificing your kids to the pretend gods runnin their country. It’s not ours. Let’s take our country back startin at the core of this nightmare. The school problem is the easy part (just homeschool). Family is the easy part (be a leader in your family). It’s barely worth talking about. I will probably mention feminism briefly in one of the later parts in this series, but I won’t spend much time on it. If you don’t have security you have nothing. That’s why the militia issue comes first. We are WAY too far down the timeline to be hyperfocused on social issues. When you are facing a complete economic collapse, you’re not going to be wasting your energy worrying about feminists and schools – Those problems will sort themselves out during the crisis. This is a common brand of deflection I always run into with a certain percentage of the liberty movement – Bring up militias and they automatically want to run from the issue and talk about something less important.
I agree with you Brandon that many might deflect, but I think one of the reasons (besides laziness, social awkwardness, etc.) is that many probably don’t feel the immediate need to start or join a militia. In other words, they don’t yet hear the boot kicking down/in their door or feel it on their throats. But it’s also likely at some point that if they don’t organize before TSHF, then it might be too late to hastily organize.

I’m 76 years old from Buffalo, New York. I read the 57 comments posted so far and I understand the mood of those men who see what is good about America being destroyed from within. I also thought about what can be done to reverse the decline in: moral behavior, the caring for the family unit, local community support, personal work ethic, domestic economic opportunity, representative government and equal justice under the law.
An organized military militia inevitably leads to martial conflict against government power. Refer to our own history of the American Revolution and the War of Secession. Look at the blood spilled during foreign revolutions (e.g., French, Irish, Russian, Chinese Revolutions, etc.)
The salient question comes down to this indelible fact:
“Are you willing to die for your family, neighbor or stranger to further the advancement of freedom for them and their progeny?”
If you hesitate to say “yes” then forget about fighting as part of a militia. You can join a militia and practice with firearms and learn to maintain them as well but you’ll chicken out when a call to arms is made in earnest.
But, if you say “yes” emphatically then you are prepared to give meaning to the words, “Land of the Free and the Home of the Brave.” Your death will be honored by your kith and kin and you will be remembered.
I listed eight things I know of that are broken about our Republic and I’m sure others can add to it.
1. The End of Election Integrity – The visible fraud committed against the people who are eligible to vote in America and denied them the lawful count for the candidate of their choice. In the 2020 presidential election we witnessed electronic voting machines were programmed to change votes as well as well as illegal paper ballots were added to the overall count.
2. The End of the Constitutional Separation of Powers Doctrine – The “political check” on the three branches of the Federal Government and the Federal Government, the States and the People has been swept away. President Joe Biden committed an act of iniquity with malice and foresight by ignoring his duty to “take care the laws be faithfully executed” when he issued an executive order to the CBP (U.S. Customs Border Protection) to not enforce federal immigration and naturalization law. By doing so he usurped the primary function of the U.S. Congress, which is to make statute and regulation. The federal judiciary failed in their duty to declare Biden’s executive order as “unconstitutional.” The U.S. Congress also failed their charge to issue an impeachment inquiry against Biden as well.
3. The End of Equal Justice Under the Law – The blindfold that covers the eyes of Lady Justice has been removed. She is now a malevolent arbiter whose scales she holds in her hand are easily tipped with “coins of political capital” to favor one adversary over the other.
4. The Unfettered Abuse of Civil Asset Forfeiture – The Old English Law of the taking without due process is an abomination of police powers and just government. The idea that an inanimate object (e.g., real property, personal property, cash, etc.) can be charged in rem whereby the owner has to prove no criminal involvement rather than the State proving guilt, violates the historical tenet of presumption of innocence.
5. The Expansion of Corporate Power – Corporations originate at the State level and are given the status of a “legal person” in order to conduct direct business related activities. However the permission granted to a corporation to create a PAC (Political Action Committee) for purposes of campaign contributions to a candidate seeking high office or an incumbent is nothing more than a bribe. Only people eligible to vote should be allowed to give money to a campaign.
6. Failure of Basic Representative Government – It is incumbent upon an elected official to be an advocate for the lawful wishes of his/her people. The idea that a politician dictates rather than represents is a fundamental flaw in governance that must be corrected.
7. Allow None of the Above on a Ballot – This does not exist as a legal concept but if the people are dissatisfied with the incumbent and the candidates seeking political office then the people have the right to reject the ballot entries by casting their vote for “None of the Above.” If that tally exceeds the tally of the count for all the candidates combined then new elections must be held with new candidates. The incumbent steps down at the end of the term regardless of the outcome.
8. A Citizen’s Recall Tribunal – This does not exist as a legal concept but is needed when a politician acts so blatantly unlawful and when the legislature fails to impeach and remove them from office in a timely manner.

@Poke. Hi. went to Nichols School, grew up in OP, now am 68 in NC. Never served in the military but as my “Stop the steal” protest sign read at the capitol steps of Columbia S. Carolina in December 2020, I listed four critical requirements for the US to even being able to address the discord. Currently there are no practical political, legal, or constitutional remedies for what awaits us.
1.) Honest money. End the FED and the fractional reserve debt based fiat monetary system, i.e. unbacked currency.
2.) Honest media
3.) Honest rule of law
4.) Honest elections in the context of repeal of the 19th amendment and voting rights requirements as originally established by our Founding Fathers via a Constitutional Republic.
We have none of the above.
“Diversity is strength” is yet another hoax being perpetrated on the common citizen meant to fragment our society, lower standards and eliminate civility. Any attempt to form a militia in an ethnically divided community is likely to be inflammatory, not stabilizing. I would be interested in Brandon Smith’s rebuttal.

Working in a sector of retail that entails thinking about the future, I am regularly encountering the paradigm of: “well, that will become someone else’s problem.”
If older members of our citizenry are unwilling to consider and be responsible for tomorrow, how could it possibly be that younger members would truly be different??
I expect it will take a lot of pain to push people into action and it will most likely be the younger generations because it is THEIR LIVES AT STAKE. They are totally not prepared.
Hopefully, there are still trained Veterans who will step up to lead the youngers when they rise up? Hopefully they are already involved in militias or forming their own groups?

The US Military has just over 2 million active service and reserve members. Contrast that figure with 50 million gun owners.

Nelson Mandela ran a militia in South Africa before he was jailed and later released and become president. The militia group, which toured Africa for financial support and to secure training, went on to only target govt. assets that were necessary to maintain the govt’s operations. The group planned events to avoid civilian casualties, and therefore struck at the infrastructure that maintained the status quo.
