Discussion On Wild Bunch Dispatch Issue #43 Starts HERE At 6pm Mountain Time!

November 24, 2020

The Q&A portion of the Wild Bunch Dispatch will be held on this page from 6pm to 7:30pm (Mountain Time) today.  Any questions you might have on the 43rd issue please post here and I will try to answer them to the best of my ability.  Some ground rules:

1)  Please stick to the subject matter of the newsletter.

2)  This is not a debate forum.  If you have some concerns I’m happy to address them, but I can’t get into a long circular debate while other people have questions.

3)  If I do not respond to your question immediately, don’t freak out.  I’ll get to it, don’t worry.

4)  Try to keep to one or two questions each time you write a post.  Please refrain from essay-long multi-question posts.  It is much appreciated.

I will begin discussion at exactly 6pm Mountain time.  Looking forward to your questions and thoughts on the Wild Bunch Issue #43.  The next issue of the newsletter will be released on December 4th.  If you missed out on this discussion you can still subscribe for the next issue and participate.  For more information on how to subscribe, visit the link HERE.

I’m not at all sure where to start going asymmetrical with no appropriate experience. Retired military I’ve spoken with agree with your assessment to hit the myriad supply chains, etc. Getting the knowledge and where with all to make that happen could be expensive in many ways. Also. it’s difficult to discount all the cool toys they will have. So, how would my peeps get up to red dawn speed in a hurry?

I think it’s important to master the basics of team tactics and movement first. Understand that the majority of threats during a collapse are going to come from untrained enemies and basic security strategies will deal with most of them. That said, as far as trained threats with massive military logistics go, hit and run is a pretty simple concept I think anyone can understand. You don’t stick around long enough for them to get their bearings and compose themselves. Also, randomization of targets is essential. You might be better off picking your targets by rolling dice than you would be trying to strategize too much. Once you establish a pattern, they’ll figure out what you will do next relatively quickly.

What are some good alternative weapons? Crossbow?

If you mean alternative to firearms, I think the new professional air rifles are really interesting. They are silent and shoot hundreds of yards. The projectiles can easily kill, or they can be used to sabotage equipment such as surveillance cameras. Bows have their uses, but have very limited range. I wouldn’t use a crossbow over 100 yards if accuracy is a concern.

The main gist I got from this article is that the reason a lot of rebellions fail is due to poor planning on the rebels part and trying too hard to emulate their enemy’s strategies instead of finding ways to render their strengths meaningless.

Yes, that’s a big part of it. Whenever you run into someone that says: “A rebellion against the globalists would be destroyed because they have drones, jets, tanks, blah blah etc., etc.,” this is a person that has no concept of asymmetric warfare. They think all wars are stand up wars fought on the enemy’s terms.

They also always forget about situations like Afghanistan or Iraq where the US modern military spent almost two decades without any real success in terms of ending the insurgencies. Asymmetrics takes time, it is the process of whittling down a more powerful enemy, or targeting the leadership directly. The idea goes right over most people’s heads, but it is an extremely effective measure against a totalitarian system.

Another major mistake made by rebellions is centralizing everything under a single leader or a small handful of high profile leaders. They get co-opted or the leadership gets killed off quickly and the rebellion falters because they were too reliant on top down command and control.

      • Aware November 24, 2020 at 6:59 pm

What about those people who say that we didn’t “win” in Afghanistan/Iraq because the globalists didn’t care to win in the traditional sense?

        • Avatar photo
Brandon Smith November 24, 2020 at 7:05 pm

Those people would be idiots. You cannot force a military to “not win”; no matter how influential people think the globalists might be. The only way to accomplish that would be to pull them out completely. A military will do what it is designed to do (kill the enemy and conquer), unless it is stopped by an opposing force. I think the globalists are more interested in whether or not their militaries CAN be defeated by insurgencies; I think they like to test the waters. That said, they are also arrogant and are hyperinvested in technology; they think it will solve all their rebellion problems. It won’t.

    What about collateral damage?

You’re going to have to expand on what you mean.

      • chippo-chart November 24, 2020 at 6:49 pm

Interrupting supplies, powet, services, etc. will also harm the populations of the enemy. What is acceptable level of harm, and how do we combat the bad optics of this collateral damage?

        • Avatar photo
Brandon Smith November 24, 2020 at 7:01 pm

If we are looking at the hypothetical scenario I outline in the newsletter, in which there is full blown tyranny, optics will be impossible to control. The enemy will do their best to blame every single calamity on the freedom fighters regardless of who was really responsible. That said, the Reset will lead to supply chain collapse anyway, so the blame will mostly fall on the elites in the long run.

Precision targeting of logistics should have nothing to do with non-combatant populations and everything to do with enemy military functions. All you can do is try to avoid hurting innocent people whenever possible. Just understand that the enemy will hurt innocents to get to you, and by refusing to act as they do, the movement will gain supporters and they will create more and more insurgents as they try to stop the rebellion.

  • Melissa November 24, 2020 at 6:32 pm

Would you be willing to call out any media outlets or personalities that you think are controlled opposition? Any in particular you think can be trusted? Where do you get your trusted news?

    • Avatar photo
Brandon Smith November 24, 2020 at 6:42 pm

In the mainstream, no one is trustworthy. All corporate media is bought and paid for by globalist interests. I think Tucker Carlson means well and is trying his best at Fox, but he should leave soon and start his own projects. The only trustworthy media is a majority of the alternative media, at least in terms of intent. Sometimes they get their information wrong, but they usually fix the problem once it is identified. I think the great weakness in parts of the alternative media has been the people that buy into the Q-cult nonsense, but I understand why they desperately want to believe that there is some kind of secret council of heroes within government that Trump is tapping into to save the country.

The bottom line is, each person has to research MULTIPLE sources of information and confirm for themselves what is fact and what is fiction. And when something turns out to be patently false, let it go and move on. No one gets it all right all the time, so you have to educate yourself and verify.

I wrote an extensive article many years ago which outlined how to identify disinformation; the cues and the tricks used for propaganda. I should probably revisit the topic again sometime.

  • Byron November 24, 2020 at 6:57 pm

I don’t have a question. I merely want to thank you, Brandon, for your intensely hard work over the years. Faithfully keeping up with your articles, interviews, and newsletter is a huge boon. I have been feeling dejected about the liberty movement’s situation lately, and really appreciate your efforts.

Thanks for the kind words. Truth can be disheartening and empowering at the same time. Understanding the extent of the threat first is the only path to stopping it.

  • helot November 24, 2020 at 7:02 pm

How will we know all of this is done and over with? What defines success?

The globalists are dead or in prison, their institutions are demolished and checks are put in place to prevent psychopathic people from ever taking power or organizing again.

  • Greg B. November 24, 2020 at 7:05 pm

Ever hear of a YouTuber named John Mark? He made numerous videos promoting the ideas of propertarianism and reciprocity as a model for government reform and making it tyranny-proof. I liked his ideas at first, but looking back now all it is is another dime-a-dozen silver bullet solution, especially when his idea for rectifying bad or unconstitutional laws and government malpractice is to take the government to court.

Brandon Smith November 24, 2020 at 7:13 pm

Never heard of him. Sounds a lot like the “sovereign citizen” movements from ten years ago; very deluded. There is no way to force a corrupt system to police itself or prosecute such a system using its own legal tools. You can only tear it down and build something better, or remove the corrupting elements surgically.

  • Greg B. November 24, 2020 at 7:19 pm

Is it possible that globalist acolytes and useful idiots will continue to drag the fight on even after all their elitist overlords are dead or in prison?

    • Avatar photo
Brandon Smith November 24, 2020 at 7:24 pm

Unlikely. These people are mostly narcopaths, which means they are mostly self-serving cowards. Their cult functions partly on fear of what their leaders will do to them if they don’t follow orders, and partly on religious zealotry. Remove their “high priests” from the equation and they will crumble. They might even destroy themselves through infighting. I don’t get the sense that they have some kind of belief in a rewarding afterlife; meaning, I don’t think they believe there are 70 virgins waiting for them in paradise if the die a martyr’s death. They only seem to be motivated by punishment from the cult itself as well as the rewards for obeying.

Compare this to the liberty movement, which will fight to the very last man if necessary in the name of principle and in some cases faith. We would outlast them if it came to a war of attrition.

  • Stolas November 24, 2020 at 7:20 pm

Did I understand correctly, that the best way to fight without leadership is to pick your battles wisely, in a terrain that is good for you, and lead asymmetric “warfare”? And I’d like to put emphasis on TERRAIN. Thanks much Brandon for what you do.

Brandon Smith November 24, 2020 at 7:29 pm

Yes. You will likely have people locally that end up in leadership positions because of knowledge, experience and intelligence, but top down leadership is a recipe for disaster for any rebellion. Rebel cells would choose their own ground and targets and would not be waiting for order on high. But, I must stress this point; each cell MUST operate on the values and principles of the movement. Any group that takes action outside of those principles and harms innocent people is NOT acting in the interests of the rebellion or of freedom.

A thought about why Stalin was not assassinated. The entire society was full of snitches. Even the elites, the closest to Stalin, such as Beria, were afraid to get to Gulag themselves any moment. But at least until then, they were enjoying a good material life. How much should we watchful for of snitches everywhere, when the dedication matter impinges on the ventilator in the US?

  • New guy November 24, 2020 at 7:27 pm

Do you think it is ever acceptable to use “enhanced interrogation techniques?”

    • Avatar photo
Brandon Smith November 24, 2020 at 7:33 pm

Nope. But there would be no need for such measures. If you are dealing with a combatant in the field, and they want to live, they will tell you what you need to know. People fighting for the globalists are not going to have much loyalty to their cause. They will be more concerned with preserving their own life. Even upper echelon globalists would probably choose to talk rather than face a firing squad.

  • Stolas November 24, 2020 at 7:31 pm

By ‘maintaining high moral ground’ do you imply that we distill this ‘moral ground’ to just a few core principles, which is where we draw a line and which would be more powerful/easy to explain to people to draw them into rebellion?

    • Avatar photo
Brandon Smith November 24, 2020 at 7:36 pm

Yes, that would be preferable. This is one thing about Oath Keepers that was done right – They had the “ten orders” they would refuse to follow. Unfortunately they are a good idea and good people with bad leadership. I think something similar to the ten orders would be useful; the ten principles of the liberty movement, or something along those lines.

How do we avoid scorched earth tactics? A la Vietnam woth Agent Orange and napalm etc? If there is any known enclave of the liberty movement why wouldnt they just take it out? The only alternative is liberty movement folks have to stay embeded in “acceptable” society to avoud detection.

    • Avatar photo
Brandon Smith November 24, 2020 at 7:38 pm

If you remember, scorched earth tactics did not work so well in Vietnam. I think avoiding static fortifications and static positions is one way to avoid that problem. Another is to have hard fortifications underground that are very hard to hit.
