I am reminded of the orthodox Jews who do not rely much on government services and instead organize their own. They are reviled by local fire and police, especially union departments, who regard their own monopolies as inviolable. The unions work tirelessly to buttress their monopolies. I have observed this intimately. Indeed the role of federal employee unions as the underlying mechanism of the Deep State is little appreciated.
Even so, when it comes to monopolies, the model that would-be monopolists follow is that of the Rockefeller-Flexner allopaths (American Medical Association). At the apex of development, anyone not a member of the guild is looked upon as an impostor and can arrested as such.
The existence of competent local healthcare services outside the allopath system is critical to decoupling from the larger control grid. Imagine having an alternative emergency room. No longer would a trip to the ER be a bankruptcy sentence and medical surveillance nightmare. Sensible treatments at sensible costs with true privacy.

Would you say that main (stream and social) media censorship is another sign of the societal collapse? Or is it pretty standard thing in a functional society, e.g., in China?
I think widespread censorship is a sign that the establishment is worried or fearful of the reaction to their criminality; but then there is also another possibility: They are TRYING to evoke an extreme response from conservatives, like getting us to support martial law or giving the government power to micromanage the internet. It might be a little of both scenarios. Either way, it means that in the case of the US we are getting close to the elites triggering a collapse.
I see, so when the censorship is by the State and constant, not like the one we are seeing that is being upped as a switch or a marionette string, then it is less of a sign of “changes” to come and is more a sign of a totalitarian regime.
With respect to civil unrest and collapse engineering, do still think that Max Boot’s war-gaming scenario, when they lock the cities and go after rural areas is quite likely?
Possibly. It does not have to be a major city, it could be rural towns. But I think the Malaysian Model is what the elites plan to use eventually to keep the population under control. The response would be to cut off all logistics that they need to enforce the model. Things will get ugly.
I live in a place with several naval and air military bases around–aslas–and I can tell you that in the last month there have been much preparations, patrolling of surroundings and the military personnel is kept close to the bases (cannot go farther than 20 mile radius, under the convid pretext, of course).
Also the sudden last minute troop pullouts in the Middle East. Why now instead of many months or years ago? Conservatives are cheering the draw-down but I don’t think they realize the implications. The plan may be to use those troops within the US.
Re: plummeting birth rates
Maybe long-term, i.e., since several years. But I haven’t “met” so many newborns around me as this year since March. Very weird, as if people want to disconnect from reality by devoting all their time and thoughts to the newborn.
Well, US birth rates are plunging, so maybe you are living in an area that bucks the national trend. The elites seem to be loving the idea of the “Covid baby bust”:

Yeah, the newborns that I am “meeting” are more like long-awaited or in religious couples. The lack of “premeditated” babies will start this month, I suppose, after the people realize what lockdowns look like.
Re: Levels Of Pain, Levels Of Tolerance
What do you think, Brandon, if people fight off the collapse from within like a disease would instead go into drinking and drugs, sort of to forget it all.
This what happened during a 70+ year of “collapse” in the USSR: People drank away while remaining under tyranny. It is try that here there is no “culture” of drinking but then there are much stronger drugs to “let it go”.
Possibly, but the Russians had a LONG history of being oppressed and facing daily tragedy, well before the Bolsheviks showed up. When the Russian revolution ended up being a sham and a path to even more tyranny rather than a bid for freedom, I think that was the last straw and it broke their spirits. Americans (at least conservatives) tend to be more wild eyed. Maybe some will turn to escapism, but many are ready to fight.
I find it interesting how legalization of marijuana and decriminalization of other “harder” drugs has been happening. I think it is a ploy to keep people drugged and distracted. Can’t fight back that way.
I also think so. IT was very noticeable for me in Denver when I visited it about a year after legalization.
I am glad this is what you are seeing because I seeing close to zero liberty-minding people around me. But then such people do not speak their minds much in general. So I might be surprised.
