Power Is An Illusion, Control Is A Facade

November 25, 2020

By Brandon Smith

This past year in numerous countries the public is being bombarded with lessons in power and control that have been forgotten for generations. I think the majority of westerners in particular have long believed themselves “safe” from totalitarian government, from collectivist micro-management and from communistic cultism. They thought we had moved beyond the nightmares of the 20th century. They thought that the “new world” was going to be more Utopian, and that freedom would grace us naturally along with technological progress.

Sure, in the back of everyone’s subconscious there is the fear that the good times are an illusion and that dystopia is just behind a thin veneer of economic stability and false optimism, but most people do not really think such catastrophes will happen in their lifetime. We are now in the midst of a deliberately over-hyped pandemic, strict national lockdowns, civil unrest, riots, aggressive tech censorship, intrusive government censorship, unprecedented corporate and treasury debt, stagflationary central bank stimulus and the collapse of massive financial bubbles. Yet, I still don’t get the impression that many in the public really grasp the extent of the danger; they still believe that the situation is going to heal itself without any effort or much sacrifice on their part.

This is the first lesson of power: Entire societies can be easily influenced when they suffer from delusions that the bad times will be fleeting, and that governments will keep them safe no matter what.

It is a historically proven pattern that governments tend to CREATE problems instead of solving them, and this is because the power dynamic of government never changes. The politicians we “vote” for are not in control, rather, the elites who fund their campaigns and who permeate their cabinets are in control. Political representatives come and go, but the establishment elites never leave. Therefore, the problems our society faces will remain; they are a direct result of the subversive and perpetual power structure that serves the interest of a select minority rather than the public. The decline of our society into tyranny will not stop until this power structure and the people behind it are erased.

This would actually be a simple thing to achieve if enough people were to accept the truth and take action. The elites, the globalists, the establishment, the “new world order”, whatever you want to call this organization of power mongers, is but a collection of mostly weak and feeble psychopaths and parasites. They are completely out in the open; they proudly proclaim their affiliations and intentions on a regular basis through their host institutions, from the Council on Foreign Relations to Tavistock to Bilderberg to the World Economic Forum, the IMF, the Bank for International Settlements, the Ford Foundation, the Rockefeller Foundation, the Open Society Foundation, etc. There is very little that is hidden about these people anymore.

But, it is also a sad reality that most people have to hit rock bottom before they embrace the idea that they cannot rely on the corrupt system to save them from harm. And as long as they continue to have blind faith that the system will self correct, they will never act. The elites operate in the open with impunity because they know that human beings are more likely to seek out help from the system than they are to fix a problem for themselves. If someone was to switch off that single mass fantasy, the elites would be gone tomorrow.

The second lesson of power is that perception of consent creates legitimate consent. To put it another way – When people believe that their peers and neighbors have accepted a certain level of tyranny, they too will often accept it so that they don’t stand out or draw attention to themselves as “aberrant”. People seeking power only need to create the illusion of mass consent. Even when the majority of people are against them, the perception of compliance can sometimes overwhelm logic.

Control is usually achieved passively without force. Sometimes you don’t even need the threat of force; sometimes you only need to inspire a fear of standing out among the crowd.

For example, the pandemic has been used the past six months as a tool for creating such a narrative. Mask wearing “rules” are particularly insidious as they conjure illusions of compliance and submission. “Everyone” is wearing a mask, therefore everyone must support medical tyranny. Mask wearing is a complete farce when it comes to the actual science of virology and viral spread. The CDC still does not recommend cloth masks to their own employees and only allows them to use N95 filtered masks. A recent and censored Danish study confirms the reality that masks are mostly useless.

Strictly enforced cloth mask rules have done nothing to stop renewed spikes in infections in multiple countries and US states. The fact that in many places masks are required OUTDOORS despite endless scientific evidence showing that UV light and open air kills microorganisms including viruses shows that the lockdown response has nothing to do with science or saving lives. It is about control.

We can take all logical factors into account, but, for a lot of people, if they see others wearing masks they too will wear a mask simply because they are afraid to be judged by what they perceive to be the majority. The reality is that a majority of people are wearing the masks grudgingly, and they would take them off tomorrow if they knew other people would do the same.

This is why the mainstream media pushes mask wearing propaganda everyday, 24/7. News journalists stand on street corners or in open air parks and wear masks on camera. Politicians wear masks even when on camera in their own homes. Celebrities and companies try to sell the idea that mask wearing is “cool”. Hey, if you don’t wear a mask you could be putting hundreds or thousands of other people at risk and killing their grandmas, right?

The masks do nothing. They achieve nothing in terms of stopping the virus spread or saving lives. This is a fact made obvious by the very infection numbers the establishment holds up as a rationale for the masks. But if the establishment elites through propaganda can convince you to wear a mask everyday, then this opens the door to them dictating many other aspects of your life. The masks are just a gateway into more destructive mandates.

The solution to this type of tyranny is to stop caring what other people think, especially when the facts are on your side. In the town where I live, the vast majority of people have said no to the mask restrictions. If someone wants to wear a mask because they believe it will protect them, that’s fine. But, no one is going to tell us we have to wear them “for our own good”. That said, even if I was the ONLY person not wearing a mask around town, I would not care if it bothered others. Your credo has to be “try and force me to wear a mask, and watch what happens…”

The third lesson of power is that force only leads to control if you respond with submission. A group of people can beat you or even kill you, but they can’t force you to comply if you do not fear for your own life.

I find that the use of force by tyrants is predicated on the assumption that the people they are seeking to control will not fight back effectively. As soon as people do fight back effectively, the tyrant is shocked. Most tyrants rise to power, not because they have won multiple battles and subdued their opponents, but because they never had to fight in the first place. Or, they win a handful of easy battles, often staged to look more victorious than they really were, and then use those mediocre wins as a means to terrify all future opposition into not fighting. The tyrants start to believe their own lies and presume their own invincibility.

Predators do not seek out hard targets, they seek out weak targets. The solution to tyrants is for the hard targets to seek them out and strike them in the midst of their confidence. When predators get hit back they have a habit of running away.

But, this requires people who do not live in fear of what might happen when they fight back. The concept of sacrificing comfort (or much worse) can’t be an issue. Fear fades away when a person fights for something more than himself. It’s not always about personal survival, sometimes it’s about the survival of future generations, or the survival of a set of principles. As that fear disappears, so does the illusion of control that tyrants rely on.

The fourth lesson of power is that ideals either stem from human conscience, or they do not. And if they do not, then they are not ideals worth adopting or fighting over. The conscience of the average person is not as ambiguous and changeable as the establishment would like you to believe. A lion’s share of human beings operate on a certain set of inherent morals and principles that are universally shared; they do not need to be taught these principles, they are born knowing them. If these rules were not ingrained into our psyches our species would have self destructed thousands of years ago.

Establishment elites would like you to believe that all ideals are a product of environment, and that those who control the environment control the morals of the people by extension. This is a lie. Values such as freedom exist even in the most oppressive environments, and people seek it out even when the risk is overwhelming. Empathy is also inherent for most of us, but a certain percentage of people are born without the capacity for it. The REAL fight in the middle of any power struggle is the fight between those who are born with conscience, values and empathy, and those who are born without these grounding characteristics.

Psychopathic tyrants desperately want to prove that all other people are just as devoid of humanity and soul as they are. They want to prove that the voice of conscience that guides us is a mask we wear to pretend that we are not evil at our core. Control comes from the fallacy that we are dependent on our environments to tell us who we are as individuals. Control comes from the notion that morals are relative, and that principles are social constructs.

Conscience is inherent, but it is also a choice. You have the free will to listen to it, or ignore it. If a tyrant can convince you to ignore the voice of your own conscience then the only other guide in life is your environment. And, if that tyrant dominates every aspect of your environment, then he now has the power to rewrite your moral code, at least temporarily. You can be made to do terrible things you would not otherwise do, or support destructive causes and ideologies you would not otherwise support.

The ultimate totalitarian power is the power to make people forget their own inner voice. The ultimate tool against evil is to listen to that voice and to not be afraid of the supposed consequences.

The question of the facade of power is about to become the defining question of our epoch as the elitist establishment accelerates their agenda for greater centralized control of our lives. The truth they do not want you to understand is that they have no power. They have nothing. We could defy their mandates anytime we wish. We could do away with them tomorrow if we wanted. They are of no use to humanity, they serve no valuable purpose. They only seek to feed like vampires on the masses and fulfill their deranged fantasies of conquest. Sooner or later they will have to be dealt with – The sooner the better.

The Protests that Erupted from the Taxpayer Financial Bailouts, often attended by violence and destruction, should appear familiar to anyone who has been paying attention to the world over the last decade. From Paris to Hong Kong, from Mogadishu to Bogotá, an unruly Public has been on the March Against (CORRUPT) Governments of Every Description. The Covid-19 (PLANDEMIC) Lockdown & Masks was a lid placed on this sociopolitical cauldron to Stop the Protests.!!!!!

    • Chevrus December 4, 2020 at 11:44 am

That’s quite a good thought you know…..Add to that fueling protests that intentionally draw attention away from the real inequity and make based on face shape and skin tone!
Divide and Rule, it’s in the manual!

Three (3) Economic Collapses in Two (2) Decades.

2000 – Dot Com Tech Bubble Collapse.

2008 – Bankster Mortgage Bubble Collapse.

    2019 – Everything Bubble Collapse.

Where in the Summer 2019 the FED Got Caught Bailing Out the Banksters in the Repo Market & Had to Immediately Reverse Course from Raising Interest Rates to Immediately Lowering Them to Almost Zero. 5 – 6 Months Later Comes the CoronaVirus Plandemic as the Scapegoat.

The Filthy Rich Politicians Shut Down the Economy to Crush the Small Business’s & Mom & Pop Stores as Non-Essential – But They Saved the Too Big Too Fail/Jail Corporations & Banksters where they have all their Investments with Trillions in Taxpayer Bailouts (Again).. No AUDITS – Once Again.

The sad fact is, the minute The Controllers unleash a “whiff of grapeshot” against those who dare to stick their heads above the foxhole, many so-called “patriots” will soil themselves and back down. It’s all good fun until someone loses a job, or a business license. Until people wrap their heads around the fact that resistance to “the system” now entails the possibility of existential loss, there will be no true “resistance”. But hey, I’m just one guy. I could be wrong.

That’s a common sentiment of cowards who have no concept of fighting for a cause greater than themselves. They think it’s all about “survival”, but what good is survival if the world you live in is enslaving you? Obviously, you have never heard of Bundy Ranch, among many other events in which patriots put their lives on the line for freedom against the trespasses of government. This idea goes over your head because you don’t actually believe in or value freedom. But, just because you don’t have the balls to man up and face tyranny does not mean that millions of others will follow your sad example. It’s simply beyond you. Don’t worry, you can hide in your little hovel, and we will defend your freedoms for you. You’re welcome, by the way…

Way to go Brandon ! We are all going to die, no matter what happens in life, death is assured ! I prefer to die on my feet believing in what is right and moral. I have fear, no real man can say that he is fearless. We anticipate outcomes and we try to act accordingly. Being ready in all aspects is the goal. We fight for freedom, for the right to live our life in a good manor to help our family & friends. There are so many traitors in this world right now it sickens me ! Grow some balls and fight for your life, because it now comes down to that. The waiting period is over we are on the cusp !!!

        Well said!

      • Gauntlet33 November 27, 2020 at 11:16 am

@Brandon, yes exactly. I’m reminded of the film “Ben-Hur”. Again, what good is survival – living another day, week, month, or a few years if it’s only to live in constant fear, enslavery, drugged and controlled by their microchip vaccine. Better to fight to win then to go on living just for the sake of living.

@Rara, like Brandon said, lose the fear of losing your life, and instead instill the fear of losing your independence and then you truly are a free man/woman. Find out what is your “line in the sand that can’t be crossed” and then stick to it. Check out James Corbett’s post re patriot Thomas Paine’s “Common Sense”. https://www.corbettreport.com/how-to-save-the-world-in-one-easy-step/

I, for one, don’t fear death. Further, I don’t want to keep living if my kids are killed, maimed, or severely infected by the govt as witnessing it happening and just prodding on is ratification and acceptance that they may do as they wish and that there will be no consequences. No, I can assure you that if they cross the line, there will be blood.

All we need is patriots to make a list of addresses of those closely connected to the controlling elites…governors, mayors, Congressmen, etc. When the SHTF, they should be the first to “go”.

        • Gauntlet33 December 3, 2020 at 9:23 am

Woops! I meant to reference the movie “Spartacus”, not “Ben-Hur”, but hopefully your readers realized that from the context of my post.

The Second Amendment to the U.S Constitution is surprisingly short. Its exact wording is: “A well regulated Militia, being necessary to the security of a free State, the right of the people to keep and bear Arms, shall not be infringed.” (in order to protect YOU from the tyranny of government).

        • Hubbs December 1, 2020 at 5:14 am

    • WilliamtheResolute November 25, 2020 at 8:16 pm

The scope and impact of what is coming to the average American is going to be devastating and unprecedented…when you take everything from someone and they have nothing to lose then threats are meaningless because without some semblance of hope there will be blood.

    • mickey d November 26, 2020 at 12:12 am

Already losing jobs and business licenses, the road we are on is not just submission it is death, when you see the reality of that it makes it a bit easier to weigh the costs.

  • chippy-do November 25, 2020 at 5:32 pm

@Brandon, do you think they will “go for broke with Biden”? It just seems like it would be so foolish of them to do so. I understand their temptation though – it puts the ball entirely in their court, first move is theirs, and a blitz on liberty could be tempting for them. The liberty movement won’t make the first move.

On the other hand, it would be really foolish.

It seems to me that in addition to the increasing the anger of the left when Biden eventually loses, the Biden head-fake was also a test to see how the right would react. I think they got their answer – increasingly the right is defiant. This, in my opinion, should steer the elite towards a Trump win and an attempt at pacifying the right by having “their guy” in office.

Well, that was my original prediction for the election outcome, which I made in July. I still stand by it. I think keeping Trump in the White House is the real plan, along with leftists riots, and then attempted martial law. I could be wrong, but a Biden presidency would result in a unified conservative front the globalists never thought possible.

      • Who cares November 27, 2020 at 8:09 pm

Well….I’m much more open to the idea that Trump is contr. Oppo. these days, but I still think there’s a chance he is the real deal. I know we disagree on that possibility, but maybe all the chitbirds in his cabinet are because he owed people who helped him get in. Maybe.

Seems like maybe the plan was to try to get biden in. But now they know they won’t be able to pull that off so…..on to plan B, turn left and right on each other….and turn em loose to destroy the whole….then “rebuild better” I feel like the part where they admit they couldn’t pull off the fraud, and moved onto plan “b” is……now.

I think either Biden, or full melt down and rebuild works for them….either scenario gives them the climate they need, to do what they want to do…..right?

        • Who Cares November 28, 2020 at 5:44 pm

I don’t see any of their agenda happening under trump…..trump won’t let America become some gia-cult EU style shithole in the name of saving us all from something he knows is a BS excuse to create a framework of top down control…..can you really see the Green New Deal fascist trip on Trump’s watch? No way …..its Biden, or full constitutional crisis melt down and rebuild……”better”.

No, Trump would initiate martial law and conservatives might support it, which would mean the end of conservative principles of freedom forever. You misunderstand the reality of the situation. Either way, Trump or Biden, the elites get what they want unless Americans stand against both possibilities.

That being said I don’t expect this earths people’s to suddenly bolt awake because the trap they clamber into is sprung behind them. No rather I expect them to search out a higher cliff with all goats merrily following the former goats off of…. weweweeeeee !
The problem with those of us who won’t comply IS that we are smarter then our fellows, our vision better. We tend to do our own homework, too, and though we are glad to share our findings we take umbrage with anyone taking a peek over our shoulders uninvited.
That’s the nature of Truth, once you’ve tasted it it is quite addictive, and unlike most drugs no compulsory 12 step program can erase it ( though by God the Global Elite do intend to try even this ).

  • JF November 25, 2020 at 10:27 pm

The immediate problem is the elite have convinced the “patriots” Trump is one of the good guys. I can’t think of a more ideal situation for the tyrant than to herd and control opposition behind one of their own agents. Everything we’re told from some official source expect it to be a lie; propaganda has gone on steriods since “modernization” of Smith-Mundt Act. Too few are seeing the fight is the destruction of the Constitution under Agenda 21/30 masquerading as pandemic; similarly the election and everything since being distraction. Prying the desperate, hopeful patriot from childish notions they have voting power is part of the fight as well.

  • tinfoilhattt November 25, 2020 at 10:33 pm

AND-“See? The system worked-Trump won!” What better way to once again put the Right to sleep while the Agenda rolls on essentially unimpeded. Two wings of the same corrupt bird.

    • Thom November 26, 2020 at 11:03 am

Perhaps, but there is another part of the bigger picture going on here. The great reset is actually a consciousness shift concurrent with the fake one in early January. The lies timeline and the spiritual upgrade coming about right now are at a close nexus point. People are waking up faster now and it’s needed. Who knows how it plays out but one thing is certain, to upgrade we have to use our second brain, the heart. If enough people do, our physical world will change to reflect that.

  • NH Watcher November 26, 2020 at 3:57 am

I recall reading long ago how the circus used to train the elephants. At birth, baby elephants were shackled with chains when they could not easily break them, and as they grew older, their brains simply never registered the fact that they could now easily break the chains. An adult elephant in the wild being chained would be impossible, as the wild elephant easily has the strength to break the chains. And so with these mandates and lockdowns, a little bit begins with little resistance, and then more stringent measures come, with far less dissent than if the more stringent measures were applied from the get go. Politicians and govts are using the exact same tactics as the elephant trainers in the circus.

  • Forearmed November 26, 2020 at 6:23 am

No one and I mean NO ONE knows what the infection rates are, because the testing mechanisms are so bad they give False-Positives as well as False-Negatives and cannot be trusted. They are also testing more people than ever before, so there are no substantive measure they can use to compel us to continue to wear masks, because they also have no idea of the true death rate from this virus. The CDC issued a directive that doctors should use “Assumptive Diagnosis” in determining who supposedly died from COVID-19 which has skewed the metrics to the point that none of them make any sense, yet the government continues to believe that testing and quarantine are our only options.
This is such a fraud upon the people, we should be in the streets demanding this lockdown be discontinued or else. When it comes to the “Or Else”, you must not equivocate about what responsibilities we have as Patriots to secure a free nation for all Americans.

    • Truth-in-Tension November 28, 2020 at 8:15 pm

Forearmed, I agree with comments. Over the last 2 months I have visited Idaho, Montana, Utah, California, Arizona, New Mexico and Texas. It is apparent to me that the large national chain stores are reinforcing the perception that the Chinese Communist Virus is the most dangerous virus in the history of mankind.

Also, the large democrat controlled cities are also encouraging fear by discouraging people of talking to other people, or even of getting within 6 feet of another person. Democrats are by far the most fearful / scared people in the states that I visited. Fortunately, once you drive away from the large cities into the small towns and rural areas you come into contact with more people with common sense who do not fear the CCP virus. These people unlike the parasites in the large cities for the most part do not want the government to be involved in their lives. The people in northern Idaho and northern Montana are the best at not wearing the Bill Gates slave masks. I believe the people in those areas have a skeptical distrust of governments in general.

What is a disappoint is that even in Texas, way too many people are wearing the slave masks. Even though in Texas masks are not mandated by the state, as far as I am aware, the large national chains will not allow shoppers to enter their stores without wearing the masks because the large stores say they are following CDC guidelines. These large national chain stores are demonstrating that they anti freedom, as well as, anti America.

  • Quatermain November 26, 2020 at 7:11 am

Excellent article and great points. We forget, or some never knew, the victory over the unconstitutional mandates we had in the 1970’s. I refer to the military draft, and I hasten to add that this is strictly from a Constitutional perspective; which I can prove but is another topic. The point is that the Selective Service System was brought to its knees by massive non compliance and monkeywrenching. It was these factors, not Nixon’s magnanimity, that brought the system down. The emperor could not be seen without any clothes. Imagine the ramifications to the IRS! Tens of thousands defied the draft system, clogged and sabotaged it, until it broke. Many of these procedural lessons can be applied again if needed. This time around it could be some 70 million acts of defiance. Brandon is 100% correct, it is a thin façade.

  • MMAI November 26, 2020 at 9:53 am

    Great article Brandon.
I envie you guys in the US. We Europeans will have to fight with sticks and stones if there is to be a fight at all. I live in the Netherlands and sorry to say but we are a sad bunch – no real protests or opposition what so ever.
Those that do try are picked off one by one.
I try to do my part by questioning the narrative on forums but lately those are floaded with trolls steering the conversation away from real action.
If you were living in my country, how would you go about making a fist? we do not have militia’s here, we do not have guns, and most countrymen are still thinking everything is just totally fine.

    • Gauntlet33 December 3, 2020 at 9:39 am

If several of us spent 1-2 hours each morning or night at a local grocery store (or other central or downtown square) passing out leaflets concerning the ridiculousness of the mask orders and other COVID plandemic restrictions as a violation of our natural born rights, we could change the narrative quite quickly.

I highly believe that many people have doubts in the back of their minds, that they’re afraid to publicly voice, and that if they heard others echoing the same, that the MNPCGs (Megalomaniac, Narcissistic, Psychopathic, Criminal Globalists) would be forced to either back off real quick or attack the population with their planned plagues and diseases. Either way, we would finally have resolution and could then move forward, but most likely, the globalists would decide they needed to table their plans several decades out again.

@Brandon, I was thinking that it’s great that you have this site and it’s amazing that you can reach so many people around the world. However, I believe we have to take localized action and stop the menace at the city, county and state levels. So, I promise that if you put together a concise, 1-page leaflet, I’ll print tens of thousands of them with my own money, and distribute them myself at local stores, on windshields in parking lots, in person, and I highly encourage others to do the same.

Getting the word out and stopping the MNPCGs’ march toward total global domination is the single most important thing any of us can do. PEOPLE, WE HAVE TO STOP THIS! IT’S OUR ONLY CHANCE FOR SURVIVAL OF OUR HUMANITY, AND OUR ONLY HOPE FOR OUR CHILDREN TO HAVE A FUTURE WORTH LIVING FOR.

In a way, the masks are like the mark of the beast, no one can buy anything or go anywhere and be allowed in unless they are masked. It is a precursor to precondition people to the mark. I am about to the point of openly rebelling. I do not like to be forced to wear one to buy a jug of milk or a loaf of bread!

Only fight when you are ready.
    Recon is always on.
    Alert, aware, awake, always.
It is better to fight and perish than live in a gulag with pretty pictures and delusions to make you think that it is a utopia.

I refuse to wear a mask and today I will go to my lands skipping confinement to hunt. Continue with your writings is a beacon in this dark world of darkness. Happy Thanksgiving to you and yours.

Psychopaths go for them who hold the highest *human* position of power and control first. A human(e) Emperor (with a conscience and UNDER God) e.g. to them is a pretending mouse or gullible fool…… just like the masses (of gullible fools).
They know however, driven by pure greed, that if they remove/wipe out the Emperor, the rest of the prey (as the addition of true madness sees it) will fall in their basket like ripe apples…..and they can make their psychopathic dreams come to fruition.
Now, does anyone know the name of the TRUE imperial lineage of Europe, descendants of the founder-Emperor Holy Charlemagne and designated to be (above politics) the uniting Emperor over Charlemagnes Imperium as a whole by the socalled Ordinatio imperii of a.D. 817……which in essence is a *mind over matter* question.
Psychopaths/narcissists hate this and they want *to make it go away* . They want and are concentrated on land = material things and divide and rule/tyrannize. They will destroy all things that really matter “on this pure greed driven/loveless way” to make their dreams come to fruition.

Which will mean that he accepts the results of a fraudulent election and any further investigation will be totally dropped from mainstream media even further than it is now.

Frankly, I think what has happened is just a more over-the-top version of fraud that happens all of the time, but which is usually never investigated, greatly enabled this time by the much larger numbers of mailed ballots which are the result of the “accidental” release of a “natural” virus in the city of China’s only L4 biolab, a lab conducting gain-of-function research on bat viruses, and an “accident” which just happened to occur in the reelection year of the only modern US president who even pretended to hold China accountable.

“The politicians we ‘vote’ for are not in control, rather, the elites who fund their campaigns and who permeate their cabinets are in control. Political representatives come and go, but the establishment elites never leave. Therefore, the problems our society faces will remain; they are a direct result of the subversive and perpetual power structure that serves the interest of a select minority rather than the public.”

Testing Theories of American Politics: Elites, Interest Groups, and Average Citizens [Princeton University, 2014]

    https://scholar.princeton.edu/sites/default/files/mgilens/files/gilens_and_page_2014_-testing_theories_of_american_politics.doc.pdf

    Excerpts:

A great deal of empirical research speaks to the policy influence of one or another set of actors, but until recently it has not been possible to test these contrasting theoretical predictions against each other within a single statistical model. We report on an effort to do so, using a unique data set that includes measures of the key variables for 1,779 policy issues.

Multivariate analysis indicates that economic elites and organized groups representing business interests have substantial independent impacts on U.S. government policy, while average citizens and mass-based interest groups have little or no independent influence. The results provide substantial support for theories of Economic-Elite Domination and for theories of Biased Pluralism, but not for theories of Majoritarian Electoral Democracy or Majoritarian Pluralism.

In the United States, our findings indicate, the majority does not rule—at least not in the causal sense of actually determining policy outcomes.

When a majority of citizens disagrees with economic elites or with organized interests, they generally lose. Moreover, because of the strong status quo bias built into the U.S. political system [that describes the influence of the Deep State/Swamp and their MSM propagandists – W], even when fairly large majorities of Americans favor policy change, they generally do not get it.

To be sure, this does not mean that ordinary citizens always lose out; they fairly often get the policies they favor, but only because those policies happen also to be preferred by the economically-elite citizens who wield the actual influence.

The reason the public “loses” when it comes to politics and policy is because they have yet to remove the primary influencing factor that corrupts the system. Removing the organized cult of elites will change the situation entirely.

    • Dennis December 1, 2020 at 8:37 am

I’ve just finish reading the article of Princeton, Interesting ending on page 14. ” Our analyses suggest that majorities of the American public actually have little influence over the policies our government adopts. Americans do enjoy many features central to democratic governance, such as regular elections, freedom of speech and association, and a widespread (if still contested) franchise. But we believe that if policymaking is dominated by powerful business organizations and a small number of affluent Americans, then America’s claims to being a democratic society are seriously threatened.

My 2 cents… Why not replace democracy by meritocracy? By voting you give your (divine) power away to the collective energy(field) of (group of) people who merely are puppets. With your consent, they (mis)use your thrust in favor of lobbyists in order to safeguard there next adventure. As a matter of fact you facilitate polarization by “in the first place” giving your vote, thus fueling the system.

As a last resort, the founders of this great nation provided a tool, one which no other nation that has fallen to communist attack has ever had. Its called the 2nd amendment. Every other box has failed to this point, the last box is the AMMO box. The BALLOT box is no longer reliable, we must be willing to do whatever it takes TODAY to stop this global communist takeover. This is the best article on our zeitgeist I have ever seen anywhere.
I have realized psychopaths are at the root of the problem when I once read Steve Job’s biography while I was on a holiday in Greece and there was nothing else to read.
I was shocked to see that nobody had a good word to say about him. After speaking to a friend from Oxford Uni about it who told me that SJ was a psychopath, I started reading more on that subject (even though I have 2 degrees in Psychology from English unis – I never actually studied about them – we conveniently (for psychopaths who control UK gvt etc) focused mostly on relatively harmless schizophrenics. No wonder most people have no idea what psychoapthy is and how to spot a psychopath. They have been gaslighted to think psychopaths must be serial killers etc (and only a very small percentage of them are). It’s been a hidden problem for centuries. I actually think vampires have been a metaphor for people who look like us, but are so dangerous and different (because they have no conscience) – in other words – PSYCHOPAHTS.
Allowing them to percolate to positions of power (due to their acting skills, fraud, behind the back backstabbing while pretending to be their victims’ best friends, no less, and ideally pretending to be the ultimate victims themselves) is like allowing a fox to be in charge of a hen house.
interestingly these degenerates cannot be any other way even if they wanted due to their serious mental damage. So it’s always been up to us as you say to confront them and to not allow them to trick us into believing them, or even worse into becoming enablers of psychopathy.

Haven’t yal wondered why President Trump isn’t preparing us for whats to come like Brandon Smith is?

‘Cause President Trump is in on the fake pandemic, the election fraud, and the reset. Along with Biden and most politicians, it is in their job description and best interest to distract us, using mass media in any form as their propaganda tool 24/7.

He works for, is employed by the hornworm parasites who have habitually eaten away at our hard earned resources and given nothin’ back.

What is happening, the corona virus, is not the pandemic the hornworms are making it out to be.

We’re all being held hostage to go along with it, ‘wear a mask or you can’t shop here’ so I don’t and leave the store. This is where I CAN fight, now, on purpose, harmlessly.

As I go from store to store to make my push back stand.
I remember researching, all this Christmas BS, was started a long time ago by the hornworms to boost the economy in the last quarter of the year, for their best economic, interest.

Stop the hornworms from using us for their benefit. Use restraint and don’t participate.
Stop wearing the mask. Go into stores so you can be asked to leave. Hit them where they’ve been using us. We are in their biggest selling quarter of their year. So hit ’em where it hurts. They are laughing at us profiting while wearing mask. Sheesh!

I’m just tellin’ ya’l to toughen’ up on purpose. Help me push back on purpose.

The other day I was asked by a security guard who was wearing a bullit proof vest with SECURITY across it, to leave a grocery store here in California. “Our company place..bla bla bla…” My response: “Have you ever fought to defend our country?” His response: “NO” My response, “So for 10. and hour you’re being a trader to our country? Is it really worth it” Through him off guard. I left the store.

I’ve got other scripts. Make up your own. We can fight it from the ground level with no harm done.
I do my needed shopping supplies at night right before the store closes, mask-less, they don’t even mess with me.
I’m 70 wonderful years. Any age can fight back this way. Save our country ’cause Trump isn’t a gonna.
    Thumbs UP!

I live in Washington, D.C. among the Swamp. In Virginia, Maryland, and D.C. the “mask” narrative is pushed very hard. What i noticed is the most compliance from the people who are educated. In the beginning, people who live on Capitol Hill were pretty rebellious to mask wearing. Now, they’ve fallen in line.
What i also noticed is how rampant the fear is from the educated class. I drove for Door Dash a couple of months and I had to stop. The loss of humanity in people affected me too much. People treated me like I had the plague. I remember one couple who lived in Cheverly, MD. who asked me put their food order on the ground in their driveway! They wouldn’t even let me come up the driveway.
The funny thing is the people on the lower income spectrum who are people of color in neighborhoods ive been in dont give a damn about wearing a mask. I myself hate wearing a mask as its uncomfortable and from my research doesn’t stop the virus anyway.
I’m a loner right now because I can’t discuss whats really going on with any of the people I know. They don’t believe the election was a ruse. They support BLM which I don’t. They also think the Great Reset is just a conspiracy theory.
No one thinks for themselves anymore. The sad thing is the “Matrix” was a warning about being a part of the “technology collective”.
People ignored it and now they can’t unhinge from their cell phones or the MSM. CNN prepped their loyal following with CDC vaccination card. The masses will just fall in line like sheep to get theirs because “CNN said its the right thing to do” . The left is waging a battle against freedom and free-thinkers.
The left has made clear that anyone who voted for Donald Trump needs to be reprogrammed.
The road we are headed down is very perilous and dangerous. I just hope enough of us will stand up and stop these tyrants before its too late. The virus is “check”. My guess check-mate will be a financial meltdown with the elimination of fiat currency. Hello, “New World Order”.

You are living in the wrong town. You will find that the further away from major cities you go, the less masks you will see. The cities are an illusory bubble where people conform to tyranny just to avoid standing out. I suggest leaving now if you can.

    • wwes December 4, 2020 at 7:33 am

When you get further away from the bigger towns you’ll notice that even the folks who do wear the masks generally won’t say a word about you not wearing one. They make their choice, you make yours, all is well. The stores away from the bigger towns usually don’t have the “required” signs telling you to wear a mask and usually don’t give a crap.
We do have one small local bakery that I used to be a regular customer of- the owner told me I had to wear a mask, I told her no thanks, and I left. I will not go back, and I noticed her business isn’t exactly booming lately. I support her right to require masks in her own private business if she wants, seeing as how it’s her business, but I will not spend my money there ever again.

  • Gotheart December 7, 2020 at 4:11 pm

Just stopped in Albertson’s without a mask, on purpose. Not to purchase, but to show folks take your mask off. On my way out of the store, on the stores side walk I saw the manager down on her knees measuring 6’ spaces. Then taping pictures of red shoe prints on the side walk. ‘Course I asked. “What the hell ya doin’ Marilyn?” She looked frazzled, her gray hair hanging over her eye glasses as she looked up at me. “Getting ready for the vaccine.” Now Marilyn and I’ve had many short discussions ‘bout me not wearing a mask in the store and she actually would listen to me about bein’ duped. I had no mercy and asked her, “Marilyn how does it feel to work for a company that is a traitor to our country?” She got up off the concrete and walked into the store. Do not shop at Albertsons. Do not shop at the stores of the enemy.

  • Fredrik Östman May 22, 2021 at 1:35 am

The contradiction in this text, which contains much truth, is that it first states that some kind of elite or cabal is in power and then, concludes that psychological biases shared by all humankind actually control behaviour. So it is more realistic to accept that every elite brushed away in a revolution is quickly replaced by a new one. Also the idea of popular liberation is a fantasy. Instead, the stoic road outlined later in the text must be taken in order to minimize the influence of the inevitable elite.

Perhaps I have misinterpreted the reference to the power elite and their being wiped away, but this is the impression I got.

Brandon Smith May 22, 2021 at 6:23 am

No, there’s no contradiction, it’s just that your conclusions are limited by your understanding of psychopathy. Psychopathy is NOT shared by all humankind. In fact, it is limited to around 1% of the population (THIS IS FACT), and of that 1%, a highly limited number of psychopaths actually organize into an effective group. So, we erase the organized element of psychopaths first, which would then give us time to rebuild our society in a way that prevents future psychopaths from ever organizing again. I’ve heard your argument before and it’s not compelling because it misses the bigger picture. Organized psychopathy is RARE, and the idea that more psychopaths will simply rise to “fill the void” only works if we are not looking for them in the first place.
