Why Are Leftists And Elitists So Happy About Skyrocketing Gas Prices?

March 12, 2022

By Brandon Smith

There is a narrative being spread within leftist/socialist circles by media celebrities and White House cronies, and it is this: Paying high prices for oil and gas is actually a GOOD thing. But why is it a good thing to these people? How do they benefit?

Spoiler Alert: It has nothing to do with punishing Russia economically.

As I write this article crude prices have somewhat stabilized around $110-$115 a barrel, which translates to a little over $4 a gallon for gas across most of the country. I don’t expect this to last very long. My guess is that regular gasoline will end up in the $7 to $8 per gallon range before US shale oil roars back and balances out the market. I realize that this is a conservative estimate and perhaps a best case scenario. Gas could go much higher depending on speculation in oil markets as well as continued government interference from the Biden Administration.

The big secret is that gas prices were already going to inflate to epic highs, the Ukraine event is not a catalyst, it’s just adding a little petro to the house fire. The fact is, there are some people out there that are desperate for prices to go much higher regardless of what happens in Ukraine.

This past week, late night β€œcomedian” and establishment shill Stephen Colbert declared that he was willing to pay as much as $15 a gallon for gas, because he owns a Tesla (this is the same guy that danced around with walking/talking syringes to promote experimental covid vaccines for pharmaceutical giant Pfizer). To understand elitist clowns like Colbert you have to realize that he is a rather new iteration of the old Operation Mockingbird propaganda model.

Let’s set aside the prospect that Colbert is a complete idiot who doesn’t seem to grasp that the electricity that charges his Tesla is most likely generated in part or in full by natural gas, oil or coal. The cost of charging up his car is going to inflate right along with normal energy prices. Instead, let’s consider the possibility that Colbert is simply regurgitating a narrative that was assigned to him, just as he has done in the past.

Decades ago, Americans were fed lies and misinformation primarily by the corporately controlled mainstream media because we used to care about what the MSM had to say. Today, almost no one cares about the MSM and their dismal audience numbers prove that. There are alternative media channels on YouTube and alt-news websites that crush CNN and MSNBC numbers. We dominate them. That said, there are still leftist outlets that get high traffic, and they are primarily comedy shows.

Colbert still enjoys hefty audience numbers of around 1 million of more viewers per video because this is how younger people have learned to digest their news content – through mediocre comedy. This model was rather successful in the old days of Comedy Central and the Daily Show with John Stewart. I will say that Stewart was at least fair in that he criticized his own side almost as often as he criticized the political right. But, that kind of self examination no longer exists on the left.

Colbert in particular must have been invited to a gay old time at Bohemian Grove or some other elitist getaway camp because he now acts as if Biden’s arm is halfway up his posterior, controlling him like a sock puppet. His show certainly receives ad revenues from Pfizer considering his parent company CBS has extensive marketing deals with them, but his relationship with the White House is a little less clear. What we do know is that Biden has been very active in attempting to reinforce his already comfortable relationship with social media companies and mainstream journalists; so why not late night talk show hosts also?

There’s more than a few talking heads out there promoting the β€œexpensive gas is good” idea. There’s a host of politicians and celebrities including the ever obnoxious George Takei of Star Trek fame who claims that paying higher gas prices is worth it if it means doing damage to Putin. Then there’s White House Transportation Secretary Pete Buttigieg, who argues that the solution to high gas prices is, once again, for Americans to start buying electric cars and for the government to spend billions in taxpayer dollars to develop fleets of electric buses.

“Today is about how we can deliver cleaner air, a better climate, affordable transportation, and good jobs all at once…” Buttigieg said. Obviously, none of this is true.

Biden and many other Democrats have been enthusiastic about high gas prices as if the American people are confusing a win for a loss. Interestingly, only a few years ago in 2019 Democratic governors demanded an end to federal gas taxes to alleviate consumer prices. This was back when gas was only around $3 a gallon nationally. So what changed?

It should be noted that many of the policies being presented to the American public as solutions to Russian oil sanctions and energy inflation are identical to policies that were part of the Green New Deal, a program designed to completely cut off the US from oil using carbon controls and carbon taxation. Isn’t it convenient that the Russian/Ukraine crisis has facilitated a vehicle for such policies to be implemented?

There’s a few problems, though. For one, Russian oil only makes up around 3% to 4% of US crude imports. The media and the White House have attempted to misrepresent the percentage by adding in β€œrefined products” from Russia to boost the numbers as high as 8%. This is false. In fact, Russian crude is a tiny portion of foreign oil imports to the US.

This means that cutting Russian oil exports to the US has NOTHING to do with rising prices. The two things are unrelated in terms of supply and demand. Celebrities like Stephen Colbert and George Takei look doubly stupid because sanctions not only don’t hurt the Russians, they also don’t explain why prices are so high in America.

Biden’s electric car initiatives are strange in light of the fact that inflation is already straining people’s pocketbooks yet the government is suggesting those same struggling Americans buy $50,000 to $100,000 vehicles. None of this actually addresses the root causes of the inflation we face. Rather, Biden and leftists seem to be saying β€œWe aren’t interested in fixing the problem, you are just going to have to adapt in the ways we want you to adapt…”

Clearly, the establishment does not want the public to question the real triggers for the inflationary disaster we are witnessing. This is illustrated very well in an article I found by CBS declaring that any suggestions that high oil prices are somehow tied to Biden’s electric car program is β€œconspiracy theory” related to QAnon.

This is bizarre. For one, there really aren’t many people out there suggesting that high oil prices are only about forcing people to buy electric cars (and CBS gives no proof of this narrative). That said, I live in the world of conspiracy reality, not conspiracy β€œtheory.” What I do see on a regular basis are people pointing out that gas inflation and overall inflation started LONG before Russia invaded Ukraine; it’s just that now Biden has a scapegoat to blame high prices on while also instituting Green New Deal actions.

Joe Biden and his shameless press secretary Jen Psaki have consistently argued that Putin is the primary cause of inflationary pressures, but inflation in the US hit a 40 year high as early as December of last year; even the World Economic Forum admits this.

CBS and other corporate media outlets seem to be aware of the truth and the complaints that are about to spread across the country and they are attempting to preempt the unrest by calling anyone that questions the narrative a β€œcrazy tinfoil hatter.”

Here are the facts:

The US Dollar is not only the world reserve currency, it is also the global petro-currency. Meaning, almost all oil to this point has been bought and sold using dollars.

When the dollar faces aggressive inflation and devaluation, one of the very first signals or warning signs is higher oil prices. As the dollar fails, oil prices will spike. This can sometimes be mitigated by a flood of supply on the market as we saw under Trump (the US was a net exporter of oil only a couple of year ago), but the bottom line is that eventually dollar devaluation wins and oil goes higher. This warning signal is a problem for the establishment because they don’t want the public to realize that dollar devaluation is the issue. If the public knew that, then the public would realize that the establishment elites are the cause.

In turn, the elites and the Biden Admin are using the Ukraine war as a distraction to divert blame. Russian oil sanctions have little to no bearing on US oil supplies, but massive fiat printing of dollars by the Federal Reserve does.

The central bank has created tens of trillions of dollars from thin air since the credit crash of 2008 in order to hold the US economy back from complete deflationary collapse. But this was always a stop-gap and the Fed and the establishment knew that the resulting inflation would eventually strike, it was only a matter of time.

In 2020 alone, the Federal Reserve created $6 trillion of new money supply in the wake of foolish and unnecessary nationwide covid shutdowns. This in combination with the destabilization in markets caused by the response to the pandemic is leading to expanding inflationary pressures. THIS IS A FACT. It is not covid. It is not Russia. The cause of inflation is and always will be dollar printing by the Fed. PERIOD. Everything else is peripheral to the primary culprit.

Beyond the advantage of using Russia as a smokescreen to hide their culpability for destructive inflation, the establishment is also very interested in a carbon control agenda. These same elites have been calling for higher gas prices for years. Why? Because higher gas prices would force the public to accept the Green New Deal agenda as the only alternative. Carbon controls mean governments would be able to micro-manage every aspect of business, manufacturing, trade, even the way we function in our homes or the number of children we are allowed to have.

For those that actually believe in global warming nonsense posited by leftists and government paid researchers, I would remind them that even the NOAA admits that in the past century temperatures have risen a mere 1 Degree Celsius. That’s right, just one degree in over a hundred years. Gee, that’s terrifying. Where do I sign my life and freedoms away? I don’t want to have to deal with a more thorough tan.

Furthermore, there is no hard scientific proof whatsoever that this 1 degree increase was caused by carbon emissions. None. Zip. Zero. There are plenty of rigged experiments and rigged data that have been exposed in the past, but nothing concrete to show any correlation between carbon and rising temps. (I’ll give you a hint of what has the most influence on Earth’s temperatures – It’s the size of one million Earths, it’s on fire, and you can often see it hovering above us in the sky).

Carbon emissions policies serve no practical purpose but they do serve a nefarious purpose as a means to dictate the lives of the average citizen on a micro level.

It is perhaps not coincidental that puppets like Stephen Colbert and other leftists have suggested that $15 is a fair price for gasoline. Independent studies by groups like the Institute for Energy Research show that Green New Deal measures including carbon taxes would ultimately result in gas spiking to around $13 per gallon. Add in some market speculation and prices would probably plateau around $15. But hey, if prices are already hitting historic highs because of inflation and war, then why not go along with carbon restrictions as well? No one will be able to afford the cost of driving anywhere anyway. See how that works?

To summarize, the elites are happy about rising oil prices today because first, they now have a perfect scapegoat for the disasters inflation will reap; disasters they are responsible for. And second, they now have a backdoor way to introduce their carbon agenda, starting with forced public dependency on expensive and less efficient green technologies and slowly progressing towards total carbon restrictions.

Average leftists are happy about rising gas prices because they ignorantly believe that sanctions onΒ  Russian oil hurt Putin.Β  They also ignorantly believe in global warming and they don’t realize how drastically our standard of living will be reduced in the name of carbon dictatorship. In other words, this isn’t a conspiracy to force people to buy electric cars; most people can’t afford a Tesla anyway. But it is a conspiracy to undermine our prosperity and our freedoms through inflationary crisis as well as green energy mandates. Leftists have no understanding of this. They are happy because they are dumb.

You really do have to conclude that the Globalists of all political persuasions are nonredeemable narcissistic psychopaths that must be permanently removed from society.

Would any mentally stable reasoning person do this in their own home to their own family?

“Hey kids we are going to stop using the energy we produce on our property at a reasonable cost and switch to using energy provided by the neighbors that we have been feuding with for 100’s of years. Yes this will increase the cost of everything we need to live but you kids can sacrifice more in order to go along with what I’m doing. I know a few of you may freeze to death in the process but that is worthwhile price to pay.”

“We have to fight ‘climate change’ after all even if the Earth’s climate has been changing for the entire time it has been in existence. Yes sometimes it has been much much warmer and sometimes it has been much much colder. But the current change of 1 degree over the last 100 years must have been caused by (white?) men’s actions so we must sacrifice everything to stop what we might have been doing.
We just need a couple more hundred years to determine what the ideal best temperature for the Earth should be.”

“Besides some people have these ideas that we might be able to provide a new form of energy some time in the future. It is only theoretical at this time and has not proven to be viable in smaller scale examples but we are going to believe that some time in the future it might be possible. So we are going to force you kids to sacrifice now and hope that our belief in future possibilities and feelings of concern and fear about the future will be resolved by someone sometime in the future.”

Another potential reason for the PUSH to go ‘all electric’ lies in the functional differences between ICE engine driven vehicles and electrics. On an ICE driven vehicle the electronics are subordinate to the main driving mechanism. However, that’s completely reversed in the Electric vehicles currently existent, ie, Tesla.
Ever seen the movie “Demolition Man”, Stallone and Snipes? The cars they were driving were more autamatons than cars; fully self-driving, fully safe…but for whom?
The level of integration of the electronics in a fully EV vehicle is total…including the ‘self-steering’ component.
Suppose you were – ostensibly – driving such and someone decided to assume control (remotely) and drive you to the nearest Police Station…or FEMA Camp…or extermination facility.
The next iteration of those will likely have unbreakable Lexan windows (unshatterable) so then you’d effectively be a prisoner in the vehicle anytime someone ‘elsewhere’ decided to vehicularly incarcerate you.
Just the self-braking features we’re seeing today give me the shivers…your car can be disabled with the brakes locked on full until such time as the PO-PO arrive to escort you to the Crematoria of their choice.
However, even On-Star on Chevy and GMC is almost as bad; your vehicle can be remotely placed into “Limp mode” moving at no more than 5 mph thereafter anytime someone so chooses.
    Food for thought…

Or they can have you drive straight into a tree and no one would be the wiser.

Hey Brandon, you are so spot on! “They are happy because they are dumb.” πŸ™‚ LOL

    • Pat B March 12, 2022 at 10:52 pm

They are happy because they really don’t actually care what happens to Joe and Jane Public because they’d rather we not exist at all to disturb their self-centered, selfish, fantasy-fixated bubble. We are just a troublesome nuisance.

Also, they are too stupid to realize that they will be the people most hurt by inflation. They have no preps, no useful skills, no survival knowledge, nothing. They are useless, and will be the first to go in the midst of crisis.

        • Pat B March 13, 2022 at 8:34 pm

Oh, yeah, and about those underground bunkers they plan to “escape” to! How long will that last???

If they are found, not long. You don’t even need to break into the bunker, you could just seal it up with concrete and let them rot inside.

          • richard s March 14, 2022 at 6:33 pm

remember the movie, “the dirty dozen,” and how they dealt with the Nazi bunker?

          • Pat B March 14, 2022 at 7:45 pm

Brandon, I had that exact prophetic thought about those bunker sealings with cement, or even a portable welding unit covertly brought to the cover site. Would save lots of folks lots of money as no need for caskets, cemetery plots, nor the big after the funeral shebang.

  • Greg B. March 12, 2022 at 11:33 am

How much you want to bet the elites and their minions won’t be restricted by the Green New Deal like rest of us will in that they’ll have secret stores of gas for themselves.

    • Keith March 12, 2022 at 2:35 pm

Heck yeah. The hypocrisy will be the worst part of it. Just look back at Wuhan. All the elites told us 24/7 to mask up and then they show up everywhere without them. Same will apply here. They’ll want everyone green, but fly or drive gas to be seen

    • Dawn March 14, 2022 at 9:54 am

Gas only remains usable for so long. Virus’s aren’t picky about whom they infect. Those masks did nothing and how many of those elites got sick too and even died?
They are humans just like me and are susceptible in the same ways in spite of their money. They put their pants on just like me πŸ™‚

This New Green Deal stuff is pretty stupid. Renewable energy can only supplement the current energy demands. It can never provide total demand. Anyone with a working brain can figure that out!

All of this nonsense will come back to bite them right in their hindparts! All AI is dependent on electricity. What happens if the plug is pulled?

Brandon is so right-they are all just plain dumb. Love the bunker suggestion btw!

  • Terminal Peak Stupidity March 12, 2022 at 12:03 pm

So we’re all one big happy patriotic family now with everyone expected to “sacrifice” for the good of the collective after years of divide and conquer?

  • Serge March 12, 2022 at 1:03 pm

Hi Brandon, We are moving more and more towards the stagflation scenario that you have already mentioned in your previous articles.
Here in Europe, too, inflation is becoming more and more visible.
In France alone, in 2020, gas increased painfully for the middle and poor class.
Indeed, Ukrainian “war” and CoV19 are only scapegoats.
β€œThe problem with socialism is that you eventually run out of other people’s money.”― Margaret Thatcher (former UK PM).
For single time, i agree with her.

That is the reality. It will never get better unless people organize and resist before its too late.

    • JustOneGuy March 12, 2022 at 4:38 pm

      @Concerned,
Too true, unfortunately. However, “No Battle Plan survives 5 minutes of contact with the ENEMY.” as the quote goes.
Currently, all that you say – precisely what Brandon has long advocated – is rapidly becoming an urgent necessity, however until – and only – the Adversary makes their first MOVE can we grasp the scale involved…and react appropriately.
In this last period of relative calm I would counsel all to be be laying up as much non-perishable food (and gardening necessities…INCLUDING FERTILIZER!!) as a first priority. As a second, the acquisition of as much ammo as you can afford, as well as acquiring bullets, powders and primers consistent with your particular ordinance even IF you don’t reload; many people DO reload and if you have the basic materials in your possession it’s going to be a LOT easier to negotiate with somesuch to generate additional replenishment of your ammo as it becomes neccessary… and WAY less taxing on you in terms of bartering costs. Thirdly, try to acquire as much fuel as possible relative to your means and considering the first two primarily considerations listed above. HOWEVER, if you are storing Gasoline you’re absolutely going to want to store that in fully airtight containers which don’t admit any atmospheric moisture to enter AND treat all such with Marine Sta-Bil…which neutralizes (binds up) the damned ethanol in everything but super Premium gas ($$$$) and thereafter store all such in a shaded, cool area AWAY from your house; at least 100 yards or so for the obvious reason.
Excepting only that the PTB elect to go “Scorched-Earth” on North America we’ll hand them their asses on a platter, eventually…but it’s the particulars in the first case that will determine who are the Quick…and who are the DEAD.
As yet there are too many unknown unknowns to ferret through; the Adversary needs to lay at least some of their cards down ere a proper response can be effected.
Nightfall is almost upon us, yes…but yet the Dawn will come again and be all the more Glorious for the depth of the Night preceding it. The Dawn that comes after will be the most Glorious Humanity has ever witnessed for it will be the Dawn of True Freedom; no Governments, no Tyranny, no Hyper-Wealthy dictating everything to everyone in their Megalomania. SURVIVE to see that Dawn with your own eyes…no matter WHAT. I look forward to meeting everyone there who makes it through when it is finally over…

      Best Regards, JOG

      • Gauntlet33 March 14, 2022 at 1:40 pm

Hey JOG, it’s always interesting to me to think about and discuss prepping. On the one hand, one feels a bit insane while doing it.
You wonder, am I a hoarder? Am I crazy for having 50 cans of chicken? 50 cans of tuna. 50 pound bag of rice.
On the other hand, you think, well, if I can afford to buy it, why not? It’s insurance in case the grocery stores suddenly don’t have food or the price of food doubles or triples.
The same applies to guns and ammo. I’m sure all of us here are peaceful people, so many of us may think we won’t need to be armed.
Many of us might not even want to use them in case of home invasion. Funny story that my coworker said he has 3 guns (I believe he said: pistol, rifle, and shotgun), but when a thief broke into his home in the middle of the night, he said that he hid in fear in the bathroom with the door locked until the burglar left.
That may be fine during a functioning, relatively civilized society like we have now, but not so much if civilization collapses and the only food and money you have are taken by the home invader. So you also have to have the balls when the time comes to take action.
Then there’s the matter of how much ammo? Another friend of mine says, 1,000 rounds per gun, but who knows. If it’s only one short home invasion by a thief looking for a wallet, then 10 rounds might be plenty, but if utilities are down for 2-6 months, then 2,000 rounds per gun may not be enough against possible roving gangs of thieves.
Anyway, good luck to all here. And prepare first and pray second.

        • JustOneGuy March 14, 2022 at 9:38 pm

          Howdy again G,
Sheeeeew, that’s a tough one to address…on multiple levels. That said, I’m Alaskan…which likely won’t mean a lot to anyone here prime face. So a small but of background might illuminate things better for anyone reading this.
Alaska will KILL you given the slightest opportunity whatsoever. 50 below zero and the car/truck craps out 150 miles from the nearest help OR a 2200 lb MOOSE walks out in front your vehicle rolling through the cockpit taking the roof off and crushing you like a trash compactor…or any of a thousand other things.
So, when the Summer is on – about 12 weeks – things aren’t too serious…but the instant the white stuff flies it’s a whole new ballgame. From the ‘town’ where I reside it’s 126 miles to get a loaf of store-bought Bread…down a road that until recently AAA rated as “The WORST ROAD in North America”. So, before even contemplating leaving the house, you load in both of your stuffed-to-the-gills duffel bags including 10 pair of thermal socks, underwear, clothes, hatchets, knives, pistol(s), ‘Road Food’, WATER(!!!) and that’s ONE Duffel bag. The other contains tent, two sleeping bags, firestarter, arctic mittens, Arctic Parka and corresponding Bib overalls along with smaller sundries including such as a 14″ Bastard file and a stout hatchet. Your double-bladed REAL Axe goes in the toolbox in the truck bed…in case the damned chainsaw coughs up a hairball at -50 degrees.
Then, the chainsaw gets loaded with extra chains, extra oil, extra gas, chain files and at least two 20×20 tarps. Lastly, you get out your tire chains CAREFULLY making sure that the individual ladders steps haven’t gotten flipped on you, and hang then off the in-bed fuel tank (105 gallons, DEISEL)….
Beginning to get the picture? I presume so…but that’s just a quick list off the top of my head.
So, if we’re here discussing what MIGHT happen and how to respond then I’ll offer this as a starting point; no ‘firefight’ I ever heard of had anyone expending less than 200 rds of ammo, MINIMUM.
So, if ALL you have is a thousand rounds then maybe – just MAYBE – you’ll make it alive through 4 skirmishes.
The next salient point is both range of Fire, Cyclic rate of Fire AND anticipated effectiveness AT RANGE.
Let’s start at extreme long range and walk back to shorter distances. The 300 PRC using the Hornady A-Tips is fully capable of effectively engaging (in the hands of a bonafide ‘Shooter’) targets well past 2200 yards. The 300 RUM is almost as formidable but ONLY when loaded with the 225 gr Hornady ELD-M projectiles, since it began life as a hunting cartridge and not a sniper round. At the extreme bleeding edge of modern firearm technology are those cartridges engineered to seat the bullets the absolute least into the case – for a slew of reasons I won’t describe here. Instead a listing of 5 stellar examples of the new paradigm delineated above are in decreasing order of bullet caliber; 338 Norma, 300 Norma, 300 PRC (significantly longer barrel life than the preceding), 6.5mm Creedmore and 224 Valkyrie. The last cailber listed is capable of sending a 95 gr SMK (Sierra Match King) out past 1200 yards before dropping to transonic speed; when the bullet starts undergoing some pretty odd non-linear effects which blow the accuracy to hell. However the 95 gr SMK must only be used from a 1-6.7 twist barrel: A 1-7 twist is only completely stable up to the 88 gr Hornady ELD-M. The 6.5 Creedmoor using a 147gr Hornady ELD-M or 150 gr SMK remains supersonic out to around slightly more than 1550 yds…IF you’re hand loading with Hybrid 100V powder and slightly further if you’re using the Hornady A-Tip 153 gr pellet.
Remember, it is ALWAYS preferable to engage at the longest distance possible since the likelihood of injury or fatality to YOU is inversely proportional to the distance between you and your adversary.
The venerable 5.56 isn’t quite obsolete – not yet! – since with a long, well stabilized heavy barrel targets can accurately be engaged out to 800 yds readily…and the existing inventory of that is simply VAST. As well, that’s the only civilian permitted ‘Steel Core’ penetrator; WE are not legally able to source the tungsten carbide core AP rds in use by the military.
That is relatively effective down to about 200 yards or less…at which point you need to start re-equipping for CQB – Close Quarters Battle – typically that involves a 16-18″ barrel and PMag D-60 drum magazines; more soldiers have died reloading than virtually any other circumstance short of aerial bombardment.
Naturally, the AR’s are all able to sustain high rates of fire (with a little trigger discipline to prevent overheating the chamber and barrel throat!) whereas the longest range stuff is almost always bolt action…but you simply don’t NEED a high sustained RoF at 2000 yds, do you…you’re sniping after all and it’s likely with the proper muzzle break that your adversary will have a hell of a time even figuring out WHERE the shot came from. Closer in your location will be entirely plain…think about 700 yds or so.
Finally, at CLOSE range you’ll definitely want to switch up your armament to the “Wipe everything out” variant – the AR/AK pattern Shotguns with high-cap clips and/or drum mags. Buckshot at anything less than 100 yds is just plumb-EVIL.
I have a personal fondness for the JTS M12AR which most closely approximates an actual AR mechanism…but there are SCORES of others to choose from. A drawback to the JTS is a – current lack – of a commercially available drum magazine.
However, from adequate cover, one man should be easily able to take out 2 squads in about 10 seconds…if you’ve got a quick trigger finger.
If you’re planning on TEOTWAKI I’d seriously suggest getting everything you can lay your hands on; it might be generations before Civilization allows you to replenish your Ammo/Armamentaria adequately. Furthermore, another point to consider is that if it ALL goes down then suddenly you’re going to – effectively – be living with Cannibals, possibly several dozen to several million according to your locale.
I would far prefer to face twenty T Rex NAKED as opposed to facing twenty HUNGRY human beings; the latter are certain to out-guess you at some point and the you’ll be the Guest of Honor at a Cannibal Convention: There is NO motivator in humans more potent than starvation…unless you’re drowning of course.

Just a ‘bit’ to dwell on…

          Cheers…JOH

Hey JOG, I appreciate and can see that you clearly have tons of knowledge about guns and ammo! I’ve also wondered if others here have visualized different battle scenarios.
One other thing I perhaps forgot to delve into is the AMOUNT of food to stock as it’s incredible how much one, let alone 5 people, eat in just a week. And I’m sure many on here are wondering how much of XX to stock up on and I think it’s really anyone’s guess as to how long the grid could be down, etc.

          • Gauntlet33 March 15, 2022 at 1:11 pm

And on the food issue again, I made the mistake of watching another “things to buy now” video on youtube wherein I again wasted my time simply to hear “buy wheat berries” to make your own bread. Sorry, but that’s not going to help anyone if the SHTF. Oh really?? And what happens when I run out of wheat berries? People need real solutions, not these temporary half-@ssed extremely short-term measures.

          • JustOneGuy March 15, 2022 at 5:39 pm

To conclude the previous thought, here’s an article on the Web which is worth it’s weight in PM,
            https://www.marineapproved.com/best-long-range-calibers/
So much is clearly explained in this article, a must-read for anyone. From the same site you can also access the author’s take on the Glass necessary to enable you to “Reach out and TOUCH someone!”
Oh, and pay special attention to his explanation for effective range of cartridges being the range before they go transonic. It’ll explain something that many don’t get at all relative to the predictable accuracy of all such.

            Regards…JOG

          • JustOneGuy March 15, 2022 at 5:55 pm

            @G33,
Another SERIOUS question, I see! Briefly put, you need to store around 2000 calories per person per day (or even MORE)…since you’ll likely be busting hump doing a LOT of physical work in the aftermath of things seriously ‘going SOUTH’.
However, you can only store SO much, he? So, let’s refine the question a bit Tom “How much do I NEED to store until my Garden and Livestock are producing sufficiently to assume the role of a replacement for stored supplies?”
But, you should never run out your stocks of long-term stored food since – fundamentally – Life is peculiarly unpredictable in extremis; you ALWAYS want a ‘fall-back’ in case the unexpected pulls the rug out from under you.
Canning, GROWING, animal husbandry, food drying, vacuum sealing (where apprpriate) all have a place in the greater scheme of things also. This particular subject depends EXQUISITELY on your location, means, knowledge and other factors it should always be noted.
As a final thought hereon, try looking up the “Foxfire Archives” online. That CAN be downloaded and is a true Cornucopia of simply everything from the last 200 years which people today have forgotten. The Sum of practical Human knowledge on a thumbdrive!!
            Imagine that…

            Cheers…JOG

Whatever temperature paid off climate scientists say it is supposed to be, apparently. The Earth has been warmer in the past than it is today.

      Something wrong with that guy.

    • Gauntlet33 March 14, 2022 at 1:23 pm

Somewhat off topic, but I watched Jerry Seinfeld’s “Comedians in Cars Getting Coffee” and Colbert seemed like a nice guy, but was unfortunately not at all funny — like zero. Anyway, their hypocrisy is off the charts and what’s clear is that unfortunately the vast majority (if not all) of these TV personalities whore themselves out to lie for $$.

  • Chris B March 13, 2022 at 6:28 am

    Brandon,

I have wondered for a while if those at the top actually believe the delusion of man-made climate change? They buy their oceanfront properties despite the supposed rising sea levels. As you say, it is obviously a control mechanism and a fear mongering boogeyman to get people to surrender their freedoms. Some lower level types do actually seem to believe in it. What say you?

Brandon Smith March 13, 2022 at 2:05 pm

No, they don’t. Look at the Club of Rome documents from the 1970’s and you will see them openly admit they were going to use the false fear of climate change as a weapon to manipulate the masses.

  • Chris C March 13, 2022 at 11:32 am

Another great article. A lot was discussed about vehicles and travel, but how will the puppet masters deal with a massive amount of people switching to wood and wood stoves to heat their homes next winter? I don’t care what laws are past, if people are forced to choose between saving the environment and freezing to death we all know what choice most people will make. There are always unintended consequences. People will improvise, adapt and overcome.

Brandon Smith March 13, 2022 at 2:03 pm

The problem is that wood is not readily available in many places, especially in the plains states. People would need to switch to propane and large storage tanks, or pellet stoves or some other method.

Colbert is a fool and a rich one. We the people have to pay the price on fixed incomes and it hurts.

Was it just me or did anyone else notice the National Debt ‘counter’ was spinning backwards? (Left side of the article)

    • going dark soon March 14, 2022 at 12:54 pm

They ran out of money to steal so it can no longer go up. Now they are defaulting and the counter is showing the real time default and the debt being written off in the bankruptcy proceeding.

A lot of sarcasm in there, but probably more truth than most would believe. The US empire is being removed from power and the CORPORATION is dying. It’s debts must be settled, and all “public policy” is meant to further that along.

This is why the covid agenda was such a failure for the globalists. They thought they could bring in medical tyranny and covid passports without any interference and stampede right over our freedoms. Yet here we are, with no covid passports, no mandates, no lockdowns and no masks. Nothing. They failed at winning without fighting, now they have to enter into battle, which is something that prefer to avoid because their chances of being harmed are much higher.

@Brandon. Nobody wants to hear this but the pandemic crap is not over yet.

AND California has not given up either. Here are some proposed legislations,

No, it’s over. The WHO and CA can moan all they want about covid but it won’t get them anywhere. Even Europe is dropping the vax mandates. They globalists realize the agenda was a failure and now they are on to Plan B – Ukraine and economic war.

  • BP March 15, 2022 at 4:29 pm

Unfortunately, I do not believe they are dumb. I believe they are evil. They know exactly what they are doing. This is all according to plan. They want to reduce the population to a much, much lower level. They do not care about the gas prices, economy, Ukraine, affects from inflation, electric cars, any of that. All they want is control, and less people. They believe with less people that it will be much easier to control, and they can have their utopia. Look at their words and match it with their actions. It doesn’t match. Their words only serve to distract from their actions. Nothing makes any sense until you go to the level I just described. Then you see what they are after. Covid, vaccines, sanctions, economic collapse, supply chain collapse, digital dollar, ESG, the great reset, black lives matter, antifa, attacks on every freedom, war in every country they can, division in all countries between all people, war in Ukraine, Crimea, somalia, syria, iraq, Afghanistan, libya, etc. . All of that is a tool to the end results. This has been the plan for a long long time. It is their religion. If you read the bible, you will see that this if following it very closely. There is already in writing what is coming. Jesus is coming. Their time will be short lived and will fail miserably. The ending is already written. They lose. Be of good cheer. God will prevail.

You misunderstand the article. The globalists are evil, the average leftist is dumb. There’s a big distinction.

  • JR March 21, 2022 at 1:37 pm

The elitists and leftists can, respectively, afford higher gas prices, take urban transit. They know that their lowers, known as “poors”, pay for their extravagant lifestyle and their transit systems. They know it hurts the poors, and that’s good because they’re red state peons.

But when the whole country turns on the elitists and leftists, they won’t be so smug… they’ll be crying like the babies they are.
