Alt-Market has been around a long time. I launched the site in early 2011 after around five years of writing for my first liberty project Neithercorp, and I really had no idea how well it would go over with readers. The concept was simple enough: Instead of talking only about the problems, we also think about and promote possible solutions. Not only that, but we seek to predict potential crisis events ahead of time based on political, social and economic circumstances, and then find ways to stop them from happening, or at least prepare. Eleven years later, I think Alt-Market has done this job admirably well.
For example, almost every single economic trend happening today was predicted right here in the pages of Alt-Market. I predicted the current stagflationary crisis and I did it years in advance while the mainstream media was only forced to acknowledge it a couple of months ago. Apparently, all those Ivy League economics degrees aren’t worth much if a small site like Alt-Market can outmatch the mainstream “experts” on financial analysis. I also predicted that the Federal Reserve would raise interest rates exponentially in response and this is exactly what they have done, despite numerous people telling me “there’s no way.”
But it goes beyond economics. Alt-Market also battled hard alongside many other liberty advocates against covid authoritarianism and vaccine passports, and in my view we won that fight, at least across most of the country. If vax passports had been implemented, Americans would be living under medical tyranny similar to what is happening today in China, there is no doubt about this. We have defeated these draconian efforts, for now.
There was the recent fight for gun rights after the Uvalde event, and Alt-Market’s analysis was at the forefront of the situation. I believe the liberty movement’s efforts (which we were a part of) helped to deter gun grabbers from pursuing wider gun control measures and confiscation; the same measures being pushed in countries like Canada. There’s still a lot of work to do and all legislation related to Red Flag laws needs to be undone, but there’s no doubt at this point that anti-2nd Amendment politicians and leftists are afraid to go for our firearms rights directly. When tyrants are afraid, our nation is safer.
Finally, there’s the ongoing war against far-left ideology and the cult of “woke.” I believe the pendulum is swinging back quickly on the communist equity movement. People are tired of leftist insanity and their attempts to undermine reality and indoctrinate children. They are being exposed as the paper tiger they truly are. It might take another few years, but the woke movement is dead already and they just don’t know it yet. I like to think Alt-Market has done a solid job helping to end the madness by debunking woke propaganda.
